I look at the horrid building in front of me. College. At least I lost the glasses and braces... Look on the bright side, Zach, we're all adults here. No more immatur- BONK! Ow! I rub the side of my head and look at the snickering boys on the other side of the courtyard. "Haha! Nerd!" One yelled. He had a mop of black hair on his head and looked young, for a college freshman. "How about you act your age, Winston?" ((Hehe. You'll get it soon.)) I call back. He smirks. I pick up his football and, instead of passing it back, throw it to the front of the school. It almost hits a girl in the head, but it misses and a nearby gargoyle pierces through it. "My football!" Winston whines, his hands going to his head in shock. My eyes widen at the fact that I threw it that well, and that I almost hit that girl... I run up the courtyard and stop by the fountain, where the shaken brunette sat. "I am so so so sorry! I never knew I could throw!" I apologized. She furrows her brows and giggles. "Oh, its fine." She smirks, looking me up and down. I give her a strange look, and she that she's wearing a black Hunger Games shirt with red stripes on the sleeves by the shoulders and leather pants with black combat boots. "Like what you see? Cause I do." She flirted, standing up. "Its just, your shirt... I love Huger Games..." I smile shyly. She looks down and crosses her arms over her chest, blushing slightly. "Hehe, um this isn't mine... Its my... Uh, sisters. Lizzie. Yeah." She sounds flustered. "You don't strike me as one to blush." I smile slightly. She blushes harder. "I-I'm blushing? No. You're lying. Good one. Anyway, see you around, pretty boy." She smirks again, still flustered, but collecting her cool. What just happened...?
Two Weeks Later
I sit by the fountain, book in hand, trying to figure out this insane math equation. "Look at it this way, pretty boy. 27 to the third power is 19,683, easy, and 19,683 - 872 is 18,811. 18,811 divided by 4 is 4,702.75 and 4,702.75 - 27 is 4,675.75. Not that hard." A voice laughs from behind me. I was too shocked to turn around, because. I knew who it was. The girl. "Its Zachary. Not 'Pretty Boy'" I corrected. "Yeah, and if you haven't guessed," she started. "*sigh* its Stacy." She smiled. "Oh my god! It has teeth!" Winston yelled sarcastically in Stacy's direction. Her smile faded and it turned into a straight line. "Get a life, Winnie the Pooh." She called. He turned red and sulked away. She gave me small smile and leant down to kiss my cheek. "Thanks for helping me 'change lists' " she smiled sweetly, crinkling her nose slightly. That was it. She walked off. I wasn't positive I'd never see her again, but I was positive I'd just changed a life with one short lived conversation.
Short chapter, but MERRY CHRISTMAS! (All my books are on different time cycles and my dream series will soon be wandering into Halloween XD)
