Lucy's POV

I was in my room sketching until I heard a deathly (and strangely girl-like) shriek from downstairs, which made me throw my pencil up in the air in shock.

I came downstairs with my rapier held in front of me, I pushed open the door with my foot and dropped my rapier.

In the centre of the room, standing on top of the coffee table was Lockwood. He was quivering and still shrieking.
"Lockwood what on earth are you doing up there?! Get down!" I shouted. He shrieked again and pointed towards the floor, I almost died of laughter when I saw the reason for his terror.

There, crawling along the floor, was a little black spider. I threw my head back laughing so hard, even tears came to my eyes. "STOP LAUGHING AT ME!" Lockwood yelled, "KILL IT LUCY!" He was almost in tears.

When I had finally recovered from my laughing fit, I crouched down and cupped my hands, allowing the spider to crawl into them. "You know Lockwood," I said slowly standing up, "I think he wants to be your friend, that's all." With that I threw the spider at him. Lockwood shrieked at the top of his lungs and stumbled backwards off the coffee table and jumped into my arms. "Get off me you big baby!" I laughed and dropped him to the floor.

I found the spider and picked him up again. I walked over to Lockwood slowly. "LUCY! NO! STOP!" He screeched I walked over to the window and just before I dropped it out I shoved it in front of his face. He jumped backwards knocking over his armchair and falling backwards over it. I laughed really hard then threw the spider out the window.

"See all gone!" I said showing him my hands. He edged closer towards me then relaxed when he saw that the spider was gone. "Your such a big baby Lockwood! Who knew? The guy who can fight dangerous ghosts can't even handle a small spider!" I laughed. "It's not funny!" He said, pouting. "Don't give me that face!" I said.

Then he jumped onto the floor which was covered in scattered pillows, and pulled me down too. We just lay there side by side, hand in hand, staring at the ceiling.

"Luce can I tell you something?" Lockwood asked, turning to face me.
"Sure," I said, turning to face him too.
"I love you," he simply said, then he leaned in and kissed me.

We were interrupted by the front door swinging open and George bursting in. "What the hell happened in here?!" He yelled. I looked around at the living room that was absolutely trashed. "Emm..." Lockwood said, "so there was a spider..." I erupted in laughter and so did Lockwood. But George not so much...

"By the way guys, I saw you kissing," George said grinning. I swear I turned red, but Lockwood remained calm. "What? You mean like this George?"
Then he leaned in and kissed me again.
"Ugh guys get a room!!!!" George yelled as he ran into the kitchen.
