The days after the second task seemed to pass by in a matter of seconds, mostly because all I was doing was working out and studying. I wasn't overweight or out of shape at all when I first started working out, but since I had, there was some significant definition in my abs, my legs looked leaner, and my arms weren't little spaghetti noodles like they were before. George and I had spent time together of course, we had gone to Hogsmeade and had little library dates many times, and he was just wonderful. I only felt bad because I didn't have time to even come close to making a dent in the book that he had gotten me.
The second task was in three days and at the moment, I was just lounging in the common room and reading my book, since it was the first time in a long time when I had the time to relax. I was nuzzled on the couch opposite the crackling fire place, George's infamous tartan blanket wrapped around me as I read. It was peaceful and quiet until I heard a growing mass of shouts and laughter outside the common room door, which resulted in the door being opened and a crowd of Weasleys, Harry, and Hermione walked into the room. I sat up and looked over at the group of them, cracking a small smile when I saw George.
"Hey," he spoke softly, walking over to me and planting a quick kiss to my lips. "Are you reading my book?"
"Yes I am," I answered, smiling up at him, his face hovering a few inches above mine, our noses about an inch away from touching.
"You like it? Is it everything you dreamed it'd be?" He asked jokingly as everyone else sat down on the near couches and chairs.
"It's fantastic, I love it very, very much. You have to read it," I said, frowning slightly when I heard everyone else chuckle.
"George knows how to read?" Ginny teased as George climbed over the back of the couch and sat next to me, his arm wrapped fondly around my shoulders.
"What do you plan on doing today? It's only a bit after lunch, after all," George asked quietly as everyone else continued their conversations around us.
"I dunno, actually," I answered, leaning my head against his shoulder, my forehead in the crook of his neck. "Do you want to go take a run with me or something?"
"Ugh, running?" He groaned, frowning at me.
"Well I need to get in some cardio for today," I explained, playfully imitating the frown on his face. "You can sit and eat or do homework and time my sprints, yeah?"
"That's something I can do," he answered, smiling at me. "What're you going to be wearing? Short shorts? Those leggings that make your bum look amazing?"
"Perv," I exclaimed, pushing him away playfully. "I'll go get changed, okay? You want to go grab some water bottles, maybe some fruit or something healthy for me to munch on, and that tartan blanket of yours I love?"
"Sure, I'll meet you right outside of the kitchens. alright?" He asked as we both stood up and began walking out separate ways, mine to the dorms and his to the kitchens.
"Sounds good," I answered, walking back to the couch and grabbing my book before I walked up the steps to the dorm. I closed the door behind me once I walked in and grabbed a sports bra and a pair of shorts from my trunk, quickly changing into them before grabbing a sweatshirt and throwing it on so that I wouldn't be too cold on the walk down to the Quidditch pitch, where I wanted to go and train. I picked up my book and a stop watch before I walked out of the dorm, down the stairs, and out of the common room. I walked down one flight of steps to the kitchen and patiently waited for George.
-----
"Alright, so here's the stop watch," I said, handing George the stop watch from around my neck once he had set out the blanket where he would sit, along with a few bottles of water and a plate of assorted fruits. "I'm going to do some sprints from the goalposts to the left to the goalposts to the right, press start when I start, press end when I'm finished."
