troye drove to the grocery store to get some groceries. people were giving him weird looks since he was new.
he grabbed what he needed in the dairy aisle and went to the aisle with chips and popcorn. he was thinking of which doritos to get.
"you should get the bbq flavoured ones. they're new and they taste good" a girl said behind him.
thats a first, troye thought.
the girl was beautiful, caramel skin, her dark brown hair tucked behind her ears, wearing a lavender dress. surprising not blue.
"oh, thanks" his lips turning into a small smile and putting the bag of chips in the cart.
"im karla. and you are..." she said.
"troye," he replied. "you know, you're the first person that has talked to me"
"i can tell. i see people giving us weird looks" she look around.
"they're probably like 'ew look, she's talking to the weird new boy'" he giggled which made her laugh.
"karla, i was looking for-" a tall man with a deep voice said. he looked at troye. "who's this?"
"oh, uh this is troye. we just met now" she said. "troye, this is my, uh, dad"
"hello, nice to meet you" troye stuck out my hand waiting for him to shake it.
"where are you from?" he asked.
"oh, im from australia" he replied, confused as to why he asked such a random question. or perhaps it was because of his accent?
"we dont like australian boys. especially ones that have a weird fashion sense" he cringed looking at troyes outfit, which was black jeans, a plain black tee and a jean jacket. what was so bad about that?
"dad-" karla said.
"no, karla. go bring these to the cash and pay for them" he said, handing her a $20 bill.
she sighed and mouthed 'sorry'
"look, you aren't gonna mess with my daughter. you're not gonna talk to her, look at her, or even think about her. leave her alone" he said strictly.
"y-yes sir" troye said.
he quickly walked away and went to a cash and paid for his groceries.
