Chapter Five~
Casie has been with us for about a week. We've taken her to the water park, the zoo, all sorts of places. We've taken her to the neighborhood park countless times.
"Presley, will you take Casie to the park?" Colson asks handing Casie to me.
"Colson, she's been to the park a lot," I say placing Casie on my right hip, "she's probably bored of it. Why don't you take her out somewhere for a daddy/daughter day since today's her last day."
Colson sighs, then quickly covers it up with a smile, "Casie, wanna go to jump mania?"
Casie eagerly nods her head and pretty much jumps out of my arms and attacks her dad. Colson whispers something in her ear.
"Preswey, will you please come wif me and daddy?" Casie asks, using her puppy dog eyes. God she's just like Colson.
I smile, "How can I say no to you?" I ask, taking her back from Colson and up the stairs.
"Where are you going?" Colson asks, following me.
"To get ready," I say as I open my door and go in. I set Casie on my bed and go over to my closet. I hear my bed creak as Colson sits on it.
I grab a Nirvana tank top and dark distressed, high waisted shorts with bleach stains and studs on the pockets.
I go into the bathroom to change. When I come out Colson and Casie are both in completely different outfits than before.
"You guys changed rather quickly," I say indifferently.
We all went to Jump Mania. Colson got kicked out because he kept getting on this thing that specifically said 'For children 6 and under,' and he popped it.
We were driving through the city, "You guys want ice cream?" Colson asks looking in the rear view mirror at Casie then at me.
"Does Presley want some, Daddy?" Casie asks Colson. "Yes," he answers without me ever answering him.
"Then I want some too," Casie says sitting back in her seat. I laugh.
We went to Sonic, "I want an M&M Sonic Blast," I say. Colson stares at me, "Please?" I say.
He smiles, "What about you Cas?"
"I want what Presley is getting," she says like its obvious. She's so adorable.
Colson reaches out of his window and presses the button, "Welcome to Sonic, may I take your order?"
"Uh, I'll have two M&M Sonic Blasts, and a Oreo Cheesecake shake," Colson says loud and slowly.
I laugh, "Colson, they're able to hear you just fine with a normal voice."
"No, giving these people orders through this thing is like, the hardest shit ever. They almost never get it right."
A really, really pretty blonde skates over to his window with a tray. "Here's an Oreo Cheesecake shake," she says handing Colson the shake. He sits it in his cup holder. "An M&M Blast," she hands him it.
He hands it to Casie, then hands the other one to me. "Do you guys need anything else?" She asks sweetly, only looking at Colson.
"Daddy, I need a spoon," Casie says from the back. The girl laughs, "I'll be right back."
When she gets back she hands Colson the receipt and the spoon, "Is that all?" She asks, again, only directing her eyes at Colson.
"No, I'd like your number too," Colson says casually, smiling. The girl blushes and takes a pen out from her apron and writes her number down on a napkin.
