Chapter 20
"Can you please stop poking me in the eye?" I asked Anna as she dabbed away at my poor defenseless eyelashes. She shrugged as she continued,
"Maybe, maybe not. Maybe if you stop moving, your eye wouldn't need to be poked." I frowned but made no comeback. Yep, Anna can be weird when she wants to be.
It was Christmas day, and I had about three hours before Josh picks me up. Christmas morning was...odd. And, very awkward. Mom introduced her boytoy to us. His name is Gerald and he had a very deep voice. Everyone was quiet and as I said before awkward. I kept trying to make conversation, but no one was into it. And, Robbie kept glaring at the poor guy.
But, in the end I got a laptop and a new iPhone case with a monkey on it. Of course Robbie got be the case, claiming it reminded me of him. Jerk. And, here we are....slapping make-up on my face.
"Stop squirming. It's just a little blush. You need a tan...seriously." I glared at her,
"Anna. It's winter time. How am I gonna get a tan. Lay down in the snow and wait until the sun shines it's brightest?" Anna just smirked. I rolled my eyes as she continued,
"Or, you could go to Florida. I swear it's like a hundred degrees during the summer over there." Penelope said walking out of the closet with the box I got from Josh. Yes, we still haven't looked at the dress.
It isn't my fault, I swear. I wanted to look at it. But, the girls told me not to until they came. There here, and yet I haven't even seen the color of the dress. When Anna was done putting my make-up on Penelope walked over with the box.
"Are you ready?" I nodded rolling my eyes. She's acting as though we're about to jump out of a helicopter and shoot people. Even though, all we're doing is looking at a dress.
"Okay, are you sure you're ready?" I glared at her and she held up her hands in surrender.
"Just open the freaking box already!" I said glaring at her, she rolled her eyes shaking her head,
"Okay okay. Geesh, I guess we know what time of the month it is." I grabbed a pillow from my bed and threw it at her head. She ducked last minute. I frowned, damn her reflexes!
"I'll just open the box, before you drop a piano on my head." I rolled my eyes, and sat down at the edge of my bed. She walked over, as Anna sat next to me. She opened the box and pulled out a long satin, beautiful red dress.
Penelope and Anna gasped. I raised an eyebrow, it's just a dress. What's the big deal?
"It can't be." Penelope whispered,
"Impossible." Anna whispered next. I rolled my eyes, it's just a dress!
"Will you two stop being such drama queens. It's just a dress. A very pretty, and soft...dress." I said feeling the material. Penelope touched it to,
"It better be. This dress is probably worth your house...times two." Anna said staring at the dress in awe. I raised an eyebrow,
"Why does it cost that much? It's just a dress-"
"Just a dress!" Penelope yelled looking at me as though I grew five heads in one second, "Just a dress? This is not 'just a dress', Penelope said mocking me. I rolled my eyes, "This dress just happens to be Anna Javole's (Fake name...fake designer) the best clothing designer in the WORLD!" She screeched.
I gave her a look, "Right.....I'm just gonna put the dress on and put on some black flats or something." I said waving my hand dismissively. Penelope and Anna were both looking at me with wide eyes. Do I have something on my face?
