Shay didn't like the thought of being a damsel in distress and often went out of their way to make others see them as scary, filing their teeth to that of a sharks, being extremely pale and even threatening them, being an asshole, making their Scottish accent more prominent when threatened and laughing in quite a terrifying manner quite often.
Though, they couldn't deny that Orky as they so called him, was the only reason they weren't nothing but a ton of bruises; if anyone jumps at them with the actual intention of harming them, for whatever reason they may have, Orky would be there, gripping them by the shirt and glaring menacingly through the mask, before beating them into submission. Don't get them wrong, they were grateful and would praise Orkking every chance they could get, but they felt...like a weakling for having him handle anyone who threatened them, they could handle themselves and they didn't want Orky getting hurt because they did something stupid.
Suddenly, they felt a tap on their shoulder which broke them from their thoughts and made them glance up at the Ork with curious Aqua eyes, he rarely spoke and when he did it was always to them, so, they were fully intent on listening to him. "Is something bothering you, human?"
They smiled softly, he always protected her, emotionally and physically- how could they repay him? How could they branch off and become stronger? "...I just feel bad for making you look out for me, ya know? I mean I'm Scottish and take three fighting classes."
"To be fair...you only take them when you get dragged out of your room to go to them and that's usually by me. You don't have to repay me, though."
They let out a sigh, staring up at the tall brunette with a tired smile. "I will repay you, one day. I don't care how I have to do it."
She could practically feel the smirk forming on the Ork's face, though, it was impossible for others to tell through his mask, Shay always knew what his expressions were. "I'm looking forward to it."
"You should be. Hey, orky?"
"Hmm...?"
"John Cena."
With that, she felt his face drop for a second, before a smile formed on his face, holding up his hand to flick their forehead. "Dork."
They smiled, pulling their hood over their head with a quick motion. "Your bestfriend, though." They then quickly excused themselves, deciding to go home for a while, as they entered, their roommate glanced up at them.
"What's with the determined face, Shay?" Zippie asked, wincing at the thought of another image of him completely naked being painted and hung on the wall.
"Nothing. Well, nothing art wise, your junk is spared for now," they smiled, taking off their hoodie and handing it up, their shirt soon following, though that was flung into the laundry basket. "It's about me and orky!"
"Are you finally going to ask him out?" Zippie spoke, suddenly fully alert. If there was one thing Shay knew about Zippie, it was that he adored the thought of them being with Orkking. He thought they merged so well together, both being so strong, with their simple differences to ensure nothing got too boring. What with Shay being extremely loud and adoring shipping and with Orky being quiet and graceful, with a silent resentment towards said subject.
"Definitely not, there's an age gap! He's like - a thousand years old. I think, I never asked, I didn't want to be rude. Anyways, I'm going to fight for him, if he gets attacked, I'm going to be the one to rescue him!"
Zippie raised a brow, looking unimpressed at the thought of that. "Ork is a King, the King of Orks to be exact. He doesn't need defending. He could wipe us out, far too easily."
"Look, Zippie, you don't understand. I know he doesn't need defending, I'm not stupid. I just...he always defends me and I want to at least do the same for him."
"...you're so straight for him, it's unreal."
"Shut up, at least I don't have a thing for Imad."
Suddenly a voice from their other roommates room, thundered out. "Stop shipping each other!"
"So, can we ship you Day?!"
"...Nevemind, get back to what you were doing."
