Colson got back a little over an hour and a half after he first left. The house was still empty and quiet. Casie giggled as she watched Tangled on the TV. I sat at the top of my bed, scrolling through Twitter and watching closely for any signs of Marie Parson. Colson rejoined me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
"What are you looking at?" He breathed as he peeked over my shoulder. I quickly switched apps and shook my head. "Ok..?" A few more hours passed and Casie eventually fell asleep, prompting Colson to bug me about the whole phone situation.
"Colson, relax. It was nothing." I groaned as I changed the TV channel. He snatched the remote from my hands and sat back on the couch with a grunt.
"Something. You hid something very quickly." He spat, his voice getting louder.
"Whatever." I rolled my eyes as I stood up to go to the kitchen. It was quiet for a few moments as I rummaged through the fridge and when I turned around my body was quickly pressed against the wall. "Let go of me, Colson!" He pinned my arms down by my side and pressed his body close to mine, breathing hoarsely.
"Just tell me what you're hiding!" He shouted as he punched the wall, quickly returning his hand to pinning mine against the wall.
"How about you tell me?" I fought the tears welling up in my eyes. Colson loosened his grip lightly and all the anger in his face immediately slipped away, almost forming into guilt. "Get out of my house." I pushed him away roughly as I stormed off to the bathroom and slammed the door shut. I'm not sure how long I was in there but after a while there was a knock at the door.
"Hay, we're leaving..." He whispered against the door. I stayed quiet. "I love you, Hay..." Again I stayed quiet. I heard the door close shut and I finally broke down.

The weeks of summer vacation left were widdling down. I've been out and traveling a lot these past few days along with Talia. Colson and I haven't been hanging out together. He's either been "working" a lot of "dealing with stuff back home." Occasionally, we text but we usually end up arguing so at this point, I have no idea where our relationship stands.
Today I decided that I would go and try to talk to Colson before I got back in school and get really stressed out. I slid on my red/white/blue shorts, a black bra-lette and a jean jacket. After sitting in my car for about 45 minutes, debating whether or not I should actually go and talk to Colson, I finally got out and hurried to the elevator. It seemed like it was taking eternity to reach the fourth floor. When I finally heard the ding I stepped out and relaxed against the wall, pulling out my phone and texting Colson.
'We need to talk.. I'm outside. -H'
There was no reply but I was notified that he read my message. After a few more minutes of waiting, the door flew open and Colson walked over to me, hands in his pockets and eyes not meeting mine.
"Tell me the truth," I exhaled as he tried to grab my waist. He looked down at me and shook his head, smiling.
"Just forget about it." He smiled again as he leaned down and kissed my lips.
No! Don't get caught up! I thought to myself.
I pushed him away and instantly got angry.
"Colson! I can't just forget about it! I've seen those tweets!" He raised his eyebrows and shook his head.
"What tweets?" Oh, so now he's gonna play dumb?
"Marie Parson." I spat, crossing my arms. He exhaled deeply and stepped back, looking down at the ground. "I've seen all the tweets between you two. Even those tweets about how she can't wait to see you." I glared at him and he finally looked back up at me.
"She's just a friend." He sighed.
"Just a friend?! Just a friend who sends you winky faces and flirty tweets and slutty pictures!? And she's just a friend!?" He quickly pressed his hand against my mouth, shushing me.
"It's nothing!" He's lying! Why doesn't he just tell me what's going on? The fact that he wants her instead of me! The fact that she'll sleep with him any time of day and I haven't even thought twice about why I don't want to! Just tell me he doesn't want me anymore! I took a deep breath and looked down.
"Just tell me.." He looked confused. I looked up to show that tears were rolling down my face. "Tell me that you want a girl like her instead of a girl like me.." Colson never says no.. But he also never says yes. Instead we just stand there, looking at each other and both waiting for the other to say something. Slim came out of the studio and called Colson back, but he just ignored him and Slim eventually got the hint.
"I don't know what to say.." He whispered as he slammed his head against the wall.
"Fine.. Then don't say anything." I sniffled as I pushed the elevator button. The doors opened almost immediately after. I heard Colson sniffle a little and as I climbed into the elevator I watched as he rubbed his (red) eyes as he got ready to get back in the studio. The doors closed, and I left.
