It's all going to be alright...

Why does shit always happen to me? All my life I've gone through pain after pain after pain.They always tell me don't worry Alice it's all going to be alright. My parents died when I was four they all said to me its going to be alright. I got regected by several families willing adopt me and they said its all going to be alright. I got assaulted in the street and they said its all going to be alright. It's not all going to be alright. It's all going to be shit.

When I got up this morning I had the very strange sense of feeling that today really was going to be okay. I went down and ate breakfast with about 20 other 14 year olds and a couple of older kids. Then set off to school, you see I don't have many friends but I have Saffron and Ruby they're not friends but they're just about the only people in the school that I don't hate and they don't hate me. Anyway I walked to meet them at the school gates and smiled. "Hey guys.." I said, smiling some more. "You ok Ally?" Ruby giggled. Ally is their pathetic name for me because 'Alice is too mainstream'. I nodded. Smiling more. "Because you don't seem like yourself.." Giggled Saffron. Ruby nodded beside her. I smiled "I'm fine guys." I said. They exchanged a look but said "Well usually you seem a bit more..." Ruby started. "Depressed." Saffron finished.
