"Mommy it's snowing!!" Minghao yelled running up to Jeonghan, who was sitting on the couch.
Jeonghan tilted his head to the side a little, looking at Minghao. His hat was falling off his head, he had three fingers in one part of his glove and his other two in another, his coat was half way zipped, and his snow boots were on the wrong feet and untied. Jeonghan shook his head and smiled, nodding.
"It is isn't it?" Jeonghan looked past Minghao to see his husband Seungcheol holding a cup of coffee and leaning against the wall.
"Mom can we go play outside?" The little one asked as he started to waddle to the door quickly, almost tripping a few times.
"Whoa whoa honey!" Jeonghan accidentally yelled, leaping off the couch to stop his little boy from escaping the living room. Seungcheol places his coffee down and rushes over also.
The boy turned around and looked up at his parents. He had tears in his eyes.
"Mommy, daddy, did I do something wrong?" He asked quietly, tears starting to stream down his face. Jeonghan gasped and picked up his son then went back to his original seat on the couch.
He wiped Minghao's tears and kissed his forehead.
"No sweetheart, you just scared us. We thought you were going to fall and get hurt." Jeonghan explained, fixing his sons hat and gloves.
"So can we go outside Mommy?" Minghao asked, smiling. Jeonghan looked at Seungcheol, who smiled and nodded.
"Of course we can baby, but we have to fix your shoes first. Ask Daddy to do it while I go and get ready okay?" Jeonghan hands Minghao to Seungcheol and runs up the stairs to their bedroom.
"Daddy you're not mad at me, are you?" Minghao asks his father as he watches him tie his boots. Seungcheol looks up at him and smiles.
"Of course not bud. Now let's go, mommy can meet us outside." He told him, standing to put on his coat, hat and gloves.
Minghao squealed in delight at the thought of going outside. He hopped right off the couch and waddled to the front door. He reached up to turn the door handle, but he couldn't quite reach it. That didn't stop him though.
Minghao jumped and stretched to try and reach it, but he couldn't. He felt like crying, all of his other friends could do it, like his friend Seungkwan. Minghao didn't like being short.
Once again he reached up for the handle, but another hand appeared on it, pushed it down, and pulled it open a bit. Little Minghao took a couple of steps back as the door opened. When Minghao realized that his dad was waiting for him to walk out, he took off running right out the door and into the light fluffy snow.
Seungcheol took a step out the door and onto the wooden porch. He watched Minghao run around in the snow. He took a couple steps forwards, until he was at the top of the porch stairs.
The door closed behind him. He turned his head to see Jeonghan walk out the house in his black parka and his beanie. Seungcheol stared at his husband for awhile, thinking about how beautiful he was and how lucky he was to be married to him. Well until little Minghao threw a snowball at his head.
Jeonghan covered his mouth with his gloved hand as he laughed at his husbands expression. He walked over to him, wiped off some snow on the side of his face and kissed his nose before going down the steps to Minghao.
Jeonghan leaned down and picked up a bit of snow before rolling it into a ball. He stood back up and lightly threw it at Minghao, who stopped working on his snowball once he felt Jeonghan's hit his back.
Minghao giggled and put down his snowball. He ran towards Jeonghan and tackled him in a hug, sending the both of them down onto the ground.
"Mommy! You can't just throw snowballs at people!" Minghao squealed, letting go of his mom.
"Says you!" Jeonghan replies, picking up some snow and putting it on Minghao's head. Seungcheol laughed and ran towards his family, arms outstretched. He grabbed Minghao off of Jeonghan and ran around the snow covered yard making Minghao giggle and shriek in happiness.
"Yah be careful!!" Jeonghan yelled, brushing off any snow left on his jacket after standing up from the ground.
Seungcheol stopped running around after a little while. Minghao clung to his waist like a koala. Jeonghan walked over to them and kissed both of them on the forehead.
"Wanna build a snowman??" He asked his son, smiling at how his child's face lit up.
"Yes!! He can be as big as me and he can wear my hat!" Minghao exclaimed, squirming around in Seungcheol's arms. Jeonghan got worried and took Minghao out of Seungcheol's arms, placing him on the ground.Jeonghan fixed the boy's hat and kissed his forehead.
"Alright. Let's get building then!" Jeonghan exclaimed, clapping his gloved hands. Minghao went running back to his snowball he abandoned earlier and starting rolling it around in the snow. Seungcheol went in the house and grabbed one of Minghao's hats. On the way out the door he saw one of Minghao's scarfs and grabbed it too. He headed back outside and saw Jeonghan placing the middle ball of the snowminghao onto the base.
Jeonghan laughed a short laugh after he placed the second ball of snow onto the first, seeing that little Minghao got snow on his little nose. Minghao came rushing over to his mom with the third ball in his hands.
"Mommy put it on already!" Minghao yelled. Before Jeonghan had a chance to grab it, Seungcheol did and placed it on the second ball. He stepped back to see if it was on straight and he was pleased that it was.
Minghao squealed in delight and quickly grabbed his scarf out of his dad's jacket pocket then stepped onto his tip toes to put it around where the first and second ball meet. After he placed it he looked to his parents with a smile, they both nodded urging him to continue. Minghao beamed and ran around the yard looking for sticks after he saw the snowminghao had no arms.
Seungcheol pulled Jeonghan into his side with the arm that was around his husband's waist as they watched their son run around the yard, collecting sticks as he went. Minghao stopped in front of the snowminghao and stuck two sticks into him, one on each side, and proceeded to finish clothing him. Minghao placed the hat on snowminghao's head and took a step back, accidentally stepping on his mom's foot and falling back on him.
"Oh sweetheart are you okay?" Jeonghan asks him as he picks him back up. Minghao nods quickly and stares at snowminghao.
"Mommy isn't he pretty? He looks just like me!!" He yells happily.
"He's very handsome. Now let's get inside, it's cold and daddy made us some hot chocolate."Jeonghan says as he grabs Minghao's gloved hand and leads him towards the house.
