" Haley, are you okay?"
Ms. Daniels was right in front of me. I was crying.
"Haley? Haley! I'm calling your mom." Ms. Daniels said.I kept weeping as the class kept laughing. I was turning red and angry. Ms. Daniels went to the front office to call my mom.
No one knew why I was crying and neither did I. This occurred on a daily basis, so it was pretty regular. I was suffering from depression. I was stupid. A "crybaby". LOST.My mom came to dismiss me. My mom wasn't really " motherly." She was gone all the time and she was crazy about everything. She was also a crazy drug addict. My mom and dad divorced 10 years ago, when I was 5. I didn't really understand at the time. After the divorce, my mom made my life a living hell.
My mom unlocked the front door, went in the house, and slammed the door. Her eyes bloodshot, she yelled," What is wrong with you?!" as she picked up a cigarette. She sat on our worn down living couch and lit the cigar up. " I took off work to come get you ! Why are you always crying?!" I just stared. This, also, occurred on a regular basis. She clearly had been drunk. Ever since my parents divorced, she became an alcoholic. She is only home, I say about a couple days a week. This really didn't bother me.
" I don't know, Mom!" I said. " It just happens."
" I'm going to take you to rehab. I'm tired of your crap."
" No! No! You can't do this! I don't want to go!"
" You are going and I'm serious this time, whether you like it or not. Now, go upstairs to your room." she said as she took a long drag of the cigarette.Everyday, I have to try to crawl out of this hellhole.
