War

We all fall down one by one
Our backs against the wall as they pivot the gun
Our soul rest in indigenous realm
As the void fills our body with brimful whelm
Cold shivers down to our bruised fingertips
When the staccato breaths leaves our tainted lips
Our chest cave inwards as our body leaks and bleed
But only then hope vanishes and our inside screams
Trapped in a dark melody with a subtle tune
Play our dying heart when laid beneath the moon
Hollowed eyes roll like dice on ice
Later slick blissful death could then be nice
Instead of swift takings reality sets in
As we all fall down all over again
