My name is Jennifer but some call me Jenn. This is the day I'm leaving California and moving to Sydney, Australia. My mom's job is moving and I guess we are too. I don't want to move but my mom said it's for the best and that she is going to be earning a whole lot more money if we move to Sydney.
Just as I put my last shirt in the box, my mom calls me downstairs. "Jennifer!" I quickly seal the box and run downstairs. "Yes mom?" "Are you almost done packing? The moving truck will be here soon." "Yeah I'm almost done. I'll go get the rest of the boxes."
I go upstairs and pack my laptop, a book, my phone, and some other things into my bag. I grab my bag and the last boxes. Before I leave, I take one last look at the room I lived in for the past 10 years. So many memories have been made in this house, but it's time to move on. I close the door behind me as I walk out of my room. "These are the last boxes that are from my room." "Okay sweetie. Are you ready to go to the airport?" "Yes but I think I forgot my phone charger. I'll meet you in the car." "Okay, but hurry." I quickly run up the stairs to my old room and glance around. Ah there it is. My phone charger. I take a look in my bathroom to make sure I didn't leave anything. Nope everything's out. I walk outside and the moving truck was here and most of the boxes were put in there. "Mrs. We can get the rest of the boxes and we'll lock the house for you." My mom replies, "Thank you gentlemen. That's very kind. Jennifer are you ready?" "Yes" I say as I climb into the car. We arrive at the airport and I grab my bags out of the car. "Aren't you excited?" My mom asks with excitement. "Yes but I'm going to miss everyone." "JENN!!!!!!!!!!" I turn around and it's my 3 best friends (Amanda, Dylan and Spencer) running towards me. "Hey guys." I say as they approach me. "What's wrong? Aren't you excited about moving to Sydney?" Dylan asks. I hug her as I say, "Yes Dyl, but I'm going to miss you all." Spencer says, " I'm going to miss you Jenn." I hug him. "I'm going to miss you too, Spenc." I look over to Amanda who's looking down at her feet. "Mandy, you okay?" She looks at me with tears rimming in her eyes."Yes, just I'm going to miss you a lot." "Aw, Amanda, don't cry. I'll come back and visit you guys. We just have to FaceTime while I'm gone." I say and hold up my phone. "Flight 457 is boarding" "Thats us Jennifer. We have to go." My mom says. "Okay. Bye guys. I love you 3." I say and hug them. "We're going to miss you." The all say in unison. I grab my bags and start walking towards our flight. I stop and turn around and they all wave. Spencer yells, "WE LOVE YOU!" I make a heart with my hands and turn around and head towards my flight.
