In Between (One-Shot)

In Between

Taehyung is talking about some random things to Jimin when he noticed that the latter is busy with his phone.

"Jiminnie?"

But the said person seems to be so drawn to what he's doing on his phone.

"Jiminnie?" Taehyung called Jimin again, this time louder, and tap Jimin's arm lightly.

Jimin, realizing that his best friend is calling him, raised his head to face him.

"Oh, what are you talking about again, Tae?"

"Uhm, nothing important but what are you doing?" Taehyung asked, curiosity is evident in his eyes.

Jimin then hurriedly hides he's phone with words of "Nothing" and laughs awkwardly. Taehyung, noticing something's not right, and then reaches for Jimin's phone and a message pop out suddenly. He was not able to read the message, for Jimin snatches his phone back from his grip, but he has glimpsed the sender's name, Amy.

Before he had the chance of asking who's Amy was, a voice from afar was heard, calling Jimin's name. The said boy turned around and waved to the girl coming near them. She was beautiful, with long, black hair and eyes shape like crescents. Jimin and the girl hugged in front of him. Noticing Taehyung looking at them, Jimin released the girl from the hug and faced Taehyung.

"Sorry, I forgot to introduce the both of you. Taehyung, this is Amy, I met her in school, and she's my classmate in my math class. Amy, this is Taehyung, my bestfriend."

Taehyung and Amy exchanges greetings. The three of them talked about many things, sitting in a coffee shop with Taehyung sitting across Jimin and Amy and from that moment, Taehyung felt something inside him that he hasn't felt before.

Amy enjoys their company and hangs out with the two but after being with them, she noticed that something was off. She would see the other with a grim face if one of them is with her. She thinks that it's nothing, that it's just her imagination. But no, all are not in her imagination, because right now, Jimin's face screams jealousy while looking at her laughing with Taehyung about something they are talking about.

Amy doesn't exactly remembered how this happen. One thing they are laughing and the next thing she knew, Jimin and Taehyung are shouting to each other. They were in Jimin's room, watching a movie.

"What is wrong with you?" Jimin shouts, anger is evidently shown on his face, to Taehyung, whose expression exactly mirrored of Jimin's.

"What's wrong with me? You're asking me if what is wrong with me?" Taehyung shouts back.

"Guys-uhm-plea---"Amy's voice was interrupted by the two.

"Shut up!" They said in unison and faced each other. Amy can't do anything but watch the two fight. She's been anticipating this really, but she just doesn't know that it's this soon.

"I've been very patient with you Kim Taehyung. I don't know why you're acting like a brat today. I don't understand you nowadays; I thought you're my best friend" Jimin told Taehyung, voice not being calm.

"Because I'm jealous!!" Taehyung answered.

"You're jealous? Ha! I knew it. You're in love with Amy!" Jimin answered back with a pained expression.

"I'm in love with you, you pabo!" Taehyung blurted out. "I've been in love with you for a long time and I'm jealous because you seem to like Amy. I'm so hurt right now. I thought I can make you forget your feelings for Amy if I snatch her from you but I think it does not work." Taehyung sobbed. Jimin, who's been shocked to the revelation, just stared to Taehyung when he felt someone hold his head and he heard Amy says "And then kiss" and realized his lips, was on Taehyung's. Flustered, he backs away and looked at Amy. Taehyung was still shocked from the kiss and embarrassed with his confession.

"Wha-"

"So, you're not going to confess too?" Amy said with a smirked. That seems to snap Taehyung back to reality.

"What? Confess what?" Taehyung asks and looked at Jimin.

"Uhm, the truth is, ahh, how should I say this. I like you too, wait, I mean, I'm in love with you too, Taehyung. And I'm also jealous that you seem to be interested with Amy so if there is any opportunity, I always want Amy to spend time with me and not with you but I can't stand the pain I always feel when you're with her. " Jimin said this looking anywhere but Taehyung. Taehyung was shocked but soon hugged Jimin.

"You love me too?" Taehyung asked, still hugging Jimin.

"Yes" Jimin answered, smiling.

The distance between their faces slowly became only an inch but before their lips touched each other again, Amy lets out a fake cough and exits the room with a "If you excuse me, I'm too innocent for this" and winked to the both of them.

"Amy! Wait!" Jimin calls her and she pops her head on the door. "What?"

"When did you know? You seem to know that we like each other?" Jimin asked. Taehyung, nods in agreement.

"Duh, the two of you are so obvious. I once thought you're in love with me but then, I soon realize that no, you're in love with each other." Amy answered with a laugh.

"Oh"

"So yeah, now, my role here is finished so I gotta go. And I'm sure you still have more things to talk about. But of course, if you're going to just talk." Then Amy hurriedly slammed the door and her laughter echoes from the outside.

"Aish, pabo" Taehyung said facing Jimin.
Jimin smirks, "Now, where are we?" and grabs Taehyung's head for a kiss.
