I held my head in my Hand as my mother rushed to get ready for work, I groaned at the sound of her blow dryer.
"Arden, if you don't want to be late I Suggest that you finish you cereal!"  She said as she took one of her rollers out
"I can only eat cereal so fast!" I shouted back.
I finished my cereal and put it in the sink. I walked back to my room and closed my door and started to get ready. I wore a pink ruffly blouse an a black skirt. I put on a little mascara and put my hair in two braids. Then I grabbed my book back and waited for my mom. I sighed thinking about what the year was going to be like. I have to repeat senior year.

The reason I was held back is because... Well I went to the doctor last year and they took a look at my back and saw my back had a problem. It turned out I had scoliosis. For about six years and I never had a brace for it. I had to have back surgery an I was out of school for three mouths because of it.

So here I am watching my friends go to college and start there new lives and I'm here in shermer high school for another year.
"Do you have your keys?"
"Yup" I replied
I walked out to the car and got in the back seat
"Why do you always sit in the back seat?"she asked me
"I don't know.." I lied, i felt shaky when I was in the front seat. I looked at the trees as they were turning from green in to red and yellow , that was my favorite part of fall. Finally my mom pulled up to the school. I opened the door and got out. Before she drove off she yelled out the car
"Make good Decisions!"
I rolled my eyes and walked up the the school.
