9 - The Date

"Hey! Wake up!" 

I opened one eye to discover Julie in my face. Her red hair was all over the place.

"What do you want?"

"I want you to get up and eat breakfast before your big day!"

"Five more minutes."

"No now."

I got up out of my bed and followed Julie downstairs to the kitchen. My stomach grumbled once I smelt the food. I guess I was hungry. She made eggs, bacon, and toast.

"You didn't have to do this." I told her.

"I make breakfast everyday for myself so I don't see why I can't do it for you too."

After eating I immediately started getting ready for my day with Thomas. He texted me telling he would be here at 12:00 and it was 11:30 by the time I got finished. I wore my favorite romper with skulls all over it with my chucks. I had my lucky socks on and I wore his sweater. I still had no idea what we were going to do but I thought that this outfit would be okay to do anything in. I waited on the couch in the living room.

"You nervous?" Julie asked as she sat down next to me.

"Yes and no."

"You guys are gonna have fun!"

Before I could reply to her I heard a knock at the door.

"Good luck," she whispered to me as I went to answer it.

I opened it and there stood Thomas looking as great as always. I greeted him with a hug, "Hey Emily."

"Hello Thomas."

"Shall we do this?" he said while putting his arm out.

I linked with it, "Yes we shall." We started to walk to his car.

 "I love your sweater," he complimented.

"Oh this? Some guy forgot it at my house yesterday. I still have to get it back to him."

"I'm sure he doesn't mind you keeping it."

"Well that's too bad because even though it keeps me warm it's itchy."

"Really?"

"Nope." I said popping the "P".

He chuckled to himself. "You like to joke around don't you?"

"Why yes, yes I do."

Once we got ourselves settled into the car I asked, "Where exactly are you taking me?"

"Well since you don't know to much about L.A. I thought we could go to some of my favorite spots. The aquarium, boardwalk, and the beach."

"That sounds fun. Where to first?"

"Aquarium."

We drove there blasting all of our favorite songs and singing along. I felt sorry for the people who drove next to us, because we looked like complete fools. We pulled up to the Aquarium and basically raced to the entrance. I beat Thomas by a landslide. The first thing we saw were the sharks. One of them came really close to us and Thomas took this opportunity to scare the crap out of me. 

"I'm gonna get you back for that!" I told him.

He just laughed.

The next thing we did was carry starfish. Thomas tried to chase me with one but he got in trouble by one of the guards and was forced to put it back. The guard warned him if he did another stupid thing we'd be kicked out. After that incident we decided to go see the stingrays.
