The Absence of Trust

In a world of pain and sorrow

I sit patiently,

waiting for tomorrow.

A friend a foe,

nowhere to go,

so here I stand in alone.

I trusted you,

you betrayed me,

One day you'll come to see.

That now I hate you,

more than anything

The knife you left,

My back it bled,

Pull it out or she will die he said,

You left it there now I regret,

The lie we lived is left unsaid.

Hipster whores and candy stores

I thought that we were friends

Tumbling and photography

Together till the end.

The rumors spread,

I was left for dead

Instead of staying by my side you said

something that I won't forget

For many many nights I wept

I give up on family

I retreat inside myself again

Books will be my friends

Living within my mind till the bitter end.

I will die alone

Old and grey

No one will remember me

To live a life without ones friends

Most would rather have seen their lives end.

In a world of pain and sorrow

I stand patiently,

waiting for tomorrow.

I'd rather live a little life, but be happy none the less,

Than live a life with "friends" and constantly be fucked with.

Today, tomorrow, and forever.

I stand alone.
