A feeling so intense,
it threatens to rip my body to shreds.
And I’d let it, mind you.
Atoms breaking bonds I am a free floating cloud
quickly I travel far over mountains and high ground
my atoms reassemble.
Without a clue I’d traveled at all
I find myself on your porch, nearly ready to fall.
In front of me the door swings open.
You catch me, frail in your arms,
I am new, not quite sure how to stand,
and still you keep me from harm.
You are my protector.
