NOT your average superheroes

Prologue

Willow tucked the papers firmly beneath her arm, adjusting them slightly. She watched the commanders stiff back as he gazed over the balcony listening to Radley's report. She couldn't see his expression, but his fists kept clenching and unclenching, over and over.

"The rebellion in the outer colonies has been shut down."

Willow jolted from her wondering as Radley said that last sentence. The outer colonies had been a problem for weeks now. A group of rebels had somehow gotten a hold of a large cargo of guns and wouldn't back down. How had they been shut down simple as that?

"Are you sure none of them followed you here?" She said making a note on her clipboard. "And is there anything else to report?"

"No." Radley said firmly looking her straight in the eyes, no hesitation in his voice. "None of the rebels survived. We bombed the building just as the commander ordered. The threat has been neutralized."

"Very well." Willow said shortly. "Report to sector three for your new assignment. Radley nodded and ducked out of the room

Willow coughed uncomfortably. What was she supposed to do now? The commander wouldn't turn around.... And those rebels....Had that truly been necessary? What had she signed up for?

"Sir what are we supposed to do? Those rebels...." She coughed again. "We need to get this under control."

The commander didn't turn didn't even shift, but in a deadly clam voice said, "I will do what ever needs to be done in order to achieve peace."

Ducking her head Willow nodded. "Of course commander. Whatever it takes." She said with only the slightest hesitation. Willow then bit her lip and put the papers on his desk. The commander might be ruthless but he was her boss. The whole worlds boss in fact. And he was just striving for peace. He was right. Right?
