Chapter 6: Something Special
"Oy! So where's the trouble maker?" A new voice calls out.
I stare wide eyed at the two new guys that just walked into the room. They are just as beautiful as the rest of their friends. Making me seriously wonder if I'm dreaming or something. Isn't there a rule or a quota about the number of hot guys allowed in a room?
One thing is crystal clear, if these guys are who I think they are, they definitely aren't the other guy's parents. Neither of them look much older than me. So either Luke lied and there are more guys coming or this is Gabriel and Mr. Blackbourne.
The first guy to enter the room is the one who had asked about trouble. I stare at his icy blue eyes as he exchanges looks with the other guys and then looks at me. His eyes are crystal bright and seem to dance with mischief. His hair is a rich brown, except two blond streaks framing his handsome face. He looks to be about as tall as Victor, but perhaps a bit slimmer than most of the guys, but still very defined.
Standing next to him is the other new guy and the only term that comes to mind is perfection. I feel the need to sit up straighter and run a hand through my hair as his eyes sweep the room before landing on mine.
I feel like he is staring right into my soul, and I instantly know that this man is in charge of this of whatever the heck these guys are. I would be willing to bet money that this is Mr. Blackbourne and I totally get why the other guys wouldn't want to use his first name.
He continues to look at me and I fidget nervously as I stare back. He has the most intense grey eyes I have ever seen hiding behind a pair of black rimmed glasses. A corner of my mind that is not drooling over the latest additions notes that the design on his frames is much like Kota's.
I feel like he can see all of my flaws without even trying. His soft brown hair is cut short, it makes his perfect angular face stand out all the more.
"Gabriel, be nice," North growls from his spot next to me on the couch and I realize that I was right. Mr. Perfect is Mr. Blackbourne and crystal eyes is Gabriel. Then I blush when it sinks in that he was calling me a trouble maker.
I bow my head, wondering if this new guy really sees me as a trouble maker. Maybe I am causing trouble, the guys rearranged their day around me and my injuries after all. Maybe I just need to go.
"Hey," Gabriel says gently, while coming to kneel down next to me. "Don't listen to me, I'm an ass sometimes. I was just joking with you."
He reaches out and with his fingertips he lifts my head so he can look into my eyes. I cautiously look up to see him smiling gently at me. I can't help but return his smile with a small smile of my own.
His eyes travel over my face, dart down to my bandaged hands and then he starts looking at my hair intently. What the heck is he looking at? I wonder as he continues to study my hair. I know it's brushed and cleaned. I turn my head and discretely take a sniff to make sure it doesn't smell before turning back to look at him in confusion. Why is he staring at my hair?
Suddenly he reaches around my head and unclips my clip, letting my long blonde hair flow around my face. He does it so fast, I don't even realize what is happening until he is standing up backing and backing away, clutching my clip.
I reach my hand up to touch my hair, then look at him confused. His hair isn't long enough to need a clip? Why did he steal mine?
"Hi I'm Gabe, and yes I am the awesomest one," he tells me playfully as he tosses my clip up and down. I just stare at him wide eyed for a moment, before I burst in to giggles at his playfulness.
