"If I got locked away,
And we lost it all today,
Tell me honestly;
Would you still love me the same?"
Sigh.
Another cover done for today.
I put aside my white acoustic guitar (it's my friend's; to be honest) and landed my back on the bed.
I have been doing this for a while now; doing covers, blogging, melodising my own songs (and letting my imagination of being an idol go wild). But yeah, there was just that tiny bit about not revealing of what I actually look like. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's just that, all this while I've been into these self-entertaining activities, there has not been even once that my family (and probably most of my friends) knows about it. And a really good reason that I could come up with is that, um, well, I'm pretty shy about letting them know that I have this wonderful talent. I mean how could I let my mom and the whole family know that I could actually sing?
I couldn't even imagine how she would react to that.
So, yeah, the name is Archer Jain, if you're asking.
I let my eyes shut off and just want myself to be fallen in deep slumber then—
"Dude, want some nachos?"
I rolled off to one side, letting my shrivelled, black hair drooping over my face. "That's okay, man. I'm not really into those." I watched as my housemate, aka, best friend; Chris Antoine shrugged and popping a nacho in his mouth. I rolled back onto my back when Chris asked—
"Hey Arch, for how long are you gonna keep this up with? Why not you just let it be your full-time career?"
"After I graduate." I replied him lazily.
"Of course, that's what I mean, duh." Chris rolled his eyes.
Chris and I have been childhood friends and we are still being best buddies up until college. We are like, what do people call it? Pen and paper? Yeah, well, something like that. Except that I'm the paper because Chris is more of the pushover. Hey that rhymes.
We never get off each other's backs. Supporting one another is basically a pledge (what?) in our friendship. But that doesn't mean we can't advise each of us if we're nearly down the drain. I can't be anymore grateful than I already am.
Chris got up and headed for the bathroom, "Don't forget, we have a five o' clock play down the field. If you're down there moping, then I ain't answering for ya." I got up and leaned on the headboard. Then I washed myself after waiting for Chris. I looked at myself in the mirror. To be honest, I do admit that I am pretty good-looking; a look where most Japanese and Koreans guys would have (they're the trend now, it seems) and a very exotic appearance not many guys in this country have. The girls would seem to like this look.
Thanks mom for giving me birth this way.
I caught up with the other guys for an evening-daily-routine; soccer. Ever since I got into college, mom keeps on making remarks about me getting too skinny. Well, excuse me and I'm sorry for the frequent practices and hard-core studying. No wonder I couldn't get hooked up with the girl I had a crush on. Girls like buff guys and that is a major problem to the male species like me.
"Yo, Arch! Heads up!" I tackled the ball and finished it off with a clean goal. "That was a clean cut man, alright, take five!" my teammate; Anton Ghastly ruffled my hair. I shook hands with my other teammates and head over the bleachers to grab a drink. Then Anton came over and slid to my side and wiped off the sweat wetting his face.
"Saw your recent cover. Pretty much adored by the people. I mean the ladies." He looked to my side and seemed that he has thoughts. "Are you sure you're going for the IT thing? You seem overwhelmed with music." He snatched my water tumbler and swallowed down the drink. "See? I'm not the only one going on about this Arch. How about you give it a shot? See for a luck."
I have the same head as you guys.
Now I just need my conscience to reassure me.
