Yes, another song fic thingy. I'mma do these sometimes. I got the idea after, of course, listening to That Should Be Me (Remix) wit my fav band Rascal Flatts :) Enjoy!!Also, this one is gonna have to be cut short because of time :( Sorry
Everybody's laughing in my mind,
Rumors spreading 'bout this other guy,
Do you do what you did when you
did with me?
I walked the halls with my best friend, and one of the prettiest girls in school, Tori. She smiled as I cracked a joke, which made me laugh, since I'm not joke funny.
"Why is that so funny?" I asked. Toris shrugged.
"Just something about you made me laugh." she said, poking my stomach. I swatter her hand away, and she dove in with her free hand. I flitched as she poked my side. She laughed again.
Someone walked up behind her, covering her eyes with his hands. My smile fanished, and my heart sank slightly towards my feet.
Andrew. Her boyfriend. He made me sick sometimes, always ruiening my time with Tori, taking her from me. Who does he think he is?
"Guess who." he said in Tori's ear in a deep, husky voice. Tori giggled, and played dumb, just for him. I crossed my arms, and leaned against the wall as Tori randomly picked out names of people she knew.
"You suck at this game." Andrew said, uncovering her eyes so he could lay a kiss on her cheek. She smiled, and turned to face him. I instantly felt like a third wheel. I turned to leave, walking down the halls towards my next class.
Does he love you the way I can?
Did you forget all the plans
that you made with me?
'cause baby I didn't!
Friday afternoon. Tori agreed to see The Zookeeper with me tonight, as friends. I didn't want Andrew with us, but Tori said that he had football practice.
I called Tori once I got home.
"Hello?" it was Andrew who answered. I groaned.
"Can I talk to Tori?" I asked. The other end was silent, and then Tori spoke.
"Hello?" she asked.
"Hey, you ready for the movie?" I asked.
Tori gasped. "That was tonight?" she asked. "I completely forgot, I'm so sorry. Andrew invited me to go see The Smurfs tonight." I frowned.
"It's alright..." I said. "We can go see a movie some other time."
"Your mad." she said.
"No, I'm not."
"I'm gonna make it up to you." she said. I could hear car doors slamming in the background. I rolled my eyes.
"Alright." I answered. "Have fun." I hung up as she said a 'Goodbye'
I knew she was never going to make it up. Andrew would make sure of that.
That should be me,
Holdin' your hand,
That should be me
Makin' you laugh,
Monday morning, everyone was advised to go to homeroom. I didn't bother talking to Tori that morning, since she wasn't in my homeroom, and I was running extremely late.
