Austin's POV"I'm in love with you."
10 years earlier
I walked around the house. Everybody else were in the living room.
My mom had brought me in her best friend's daughter's birthday party. My mom and Penny were always talking through the phone, and I got to see Penny a lot.
But what I was really intrested, was Penny's daughter. And finally, Penny invited me and my mom to her 6 birthday party. I haven't seen Penny's daughter ever, not pictures, not even her name.
But I still bought a gift to her. A six-year old doesn't get a lot of money, but I still used my own money. I wanted so bad to see her, but I've now been here almost two hours, and still no sign of her. I tried to look at the cake, if it had her name in there. But guess what? There wasn't.
I sigh and give up. I walk over to the back door, and open it slightly. I was about to go and sit on the bench, but then I see a girl leaning against the railing, looking at the stars. I close the door making a little sound, so she knows I'm there, but I won't scare her.
She turns her head to me and my mouth almost drops.
The girl was wearing a beautiful pink flower dress, with brown belt over it. She had chocolate brown eyes and brown hair with little curl here and there. She was beautiful.
"Hey" she whisperes to me and turns towards the stars again. I came out of my trance and walked next to her.
"Hey, I'm Austin" I say and offer my hand to her. She shakes it slightly.
"I'm Allison, but I prefer Ally" she smiled at me.
"Nice to meet you Ally" we stood in comfortable silence looking at the stars.
"Ally, why aren't you inside?" I softly asked her.
"I don't know. My mon always wants to throw big party for me, and invites a lot of kids I don't know. I just... Wanted to think things" she smiled at me. Wait...
"So these are your birthday party and your Penny's daughter?" I asked her.
She giggled at me which caused me to smile. "Yes."
"In that case" I took a wrapped up gift out of my pocket. "Happy birthday Ally."
She looked at me excited and took the gift. "What's in it?" she asked while taking tapes off.
"It's a surprise... Well, not for long, but few seconds" she giggled at me.
She opens it and looked at it. It was a simple brown book, with a pink A on it.
"It's just a journal, or a diary, however you wanna use it. I added the A by myself, and it was kind of ABC thing, but now that I know your name, it goes even better. I know it's a crappy present, sorry" I muttered the last part quietly. She smiled at me and hugged me.
"Thanks Austin, I love it" she whispered against my chest. I wrapped my hands around her. We stood there few moments, before she squeezed my waist and let go. She smiled at me and leaned against the railing again. I did the same.
We stood there, looking at the stars... I was actually looking Ally, but that's beside the point...
An hour went and we just talked and laughed at random things. And I really got to know Ally.
"Y'know Austin, your-" she was cut off.
"Sweetie, where are you?" Penny shouted looking around at her daughter. She spotted us, and walked to us.
