I woke up with a sick feeling. For some reason I have a feeling that I have to skip school. I had a bad feeling today was going to be bad. But I just casually brushed it off. I threw on a random shirt, I'm not the type to care for my looks, and a pair of pants. I look to my right enough to see the light shining bright through the curtain blocking my window. I really did not feel like getting up for school today, but I knew I had to since my mother left me no choice. Today was friday, thank goodness. I exit my room to see my mom standing in the kitchen. My mom is a little shaky but I just choose to ignore it and ask what we are we having for breakfast. She replies "You need to make something to eat. You need to make something for you, your sister, and your father because I am going to run a couple errands. Please be careful and listen to your father. I will only be out for a little bit." I nod my head and continue to head to the rest of the house. Everyday I say good morning to my sister and my father. I walk to the living room window. Yes! For once in december since all year it is snowing. Even in the beginning of the year in january, it was never snowing. And it hasn't for quite a few years. I'm 17 and have my own car but my school is a few blocks away. But I drive there anyway. My sister gets in the car right after me.  My mom came back and I left to school. " Hey! What are you doing?" I say as my best friend walks right past me. She ignores me and keeps walking. I look at her with a confused face. I ask myself, why is everybody acting strange today? The 1 minute bell rang, and I just walk off to class. It's social studies, which I suck at. So, I just do not pay attention. During this class, I just doodle and draw. There is not much to learn anyway, I think to myself. As I am drawing, I look up to see a tall slim man. I look at him as he asks me if I am elizabeth. I nod my head yes, as he sits in the empty desk beside me. I looked back to the paper which I am drawing on and continue to doodle. He says "Hey I'm jake. Your a good artist. You're really pretty. You have a nice name. Do you like to draw a lot?" I look at him. I think to myself, he is very strange. I reply "You talk a lot." He looks confused as if I had just answered every single 1 of his questions and he still doesn't understand. Just as he opens his mouth to speak, my phone starts ringing. I mute my phone as I look at to see who is calling. It says unknown number. I get up and run out of the classroom to the bathroom. The teacher tries to say something I don't hear, and keep walking. I answer the phone. "Hello. Sorry this is urgent. I am sorry to inform you, your parents where victims of a car crash. They were found along this side of the road, with their car a couple miles away. There was another vehicle bashed into their's. But the owner of the vehicle has not been found or verified." A man says. I'm silent. I'm confused. This doesn't make any sense. "Hello?" The man says. "I know this is tough, so I'll call later to give you some time. Do you have a ride to the station?" I hesitated "Yeah, um I'll be there shortly." "Ok, we'll give you more details when you get here and I'm sorry for your loss."
