Our team of girls walked cautiously out of the field looking for the crashed car or whatever made that noise. "I'm scared" Natalie bubbled trying not to cry whilst holding onto Morgaine's arm like her life depended on it "Let go of me you huge baby!" Snapped Morgaine as she tried to get the tall blonde child off of her arm "You're cutting off my blood supply!" She rubbed her arm as Natalie unlatched herself and walked feverishly onwards. A few miles later and before them was the crashed ambulance and a bunch of plants tangled around it but no human in sight. "I don't like the feeling of this can we go now?" Natalie questioned with a shaky voice. "No we must find my Dylan and the ambulance crew they might be hurt" Lacey stated as she started climbing into the ambulance "Lacey no get out of there now!" Demanded Morgaine who was trying to pull her out because Charlie had seen something horrific in the front seats.

The two paramedics were slumped over, their bodies disfigured by bark and leaves there was blood everywhere, Charlie had to take a minute to throw up her lunch before warning the others about them. They looked around to see if anymore could be spotted but they couldn't see any so they decided to go home and check their families. Charlie was the first to call after they all got home, her family had been barkified so she grabbed her cats and ran to Lacey's but sadly the same had happened to her family so they took her cat and ran to Natalie's house which was like a war zone, her dad hadn't returned so her mum was really worried and her siblings were running riot, it was like a jungle with Ash and Harper, Natalie's 4 year old sister and brother, fighting her for food and toys scattered everywhere. "Sorry for the mess" Natalie said sheepishly before getting hit in the face with a toy car. Their mum Caroline sighed and took a paracetamol before checking her phone, deep worry etched onto her face. She stepped out into the back garden trying to call him again but the phone lines were down now so nobody could get a hold of him, suddenly there was a knock at the door (well when I say knock I mean more of a thud) making everyone jump. Caroline half sprinted to the door eager but also hesitant to see if her husband was at the door, she huffed in annoyance seeing it wasn't but really it was a tall, pretty looking business woman with glasses and chocolate brown hair tied up in a neat bun "Hello" she said speaking clearly "I am Amelia and I work for the government who have decided that you will be perfect for taking part in our new training programme" she beamed at us half expecting joy to flood our expressions but she was only met with blank faces and an angry looking  mother "You are not taking my girls to be a part of your war" Caroline said crossing her arms and looking sternly at Amelia "Well we will provide you and your children here with protection and food if you agree" Amelia argued back "but if you don't want that and would rather suffer in this apocalypse then be my guest" she smiled knowingly and after everyone agreeing to the terms they all got in the back of a large black truck and drove off into the sunset.
