A Big Mistake: A jiper fanfiction

Jason's POV

I walked along side Annabeth, filling her in on everything going on in New Rome, with Reyna and Nico jumping in from time to time.

Suddenly I saw something glitter on Annabeth's ring finger. My eyes widened in realisation.

"You guys are engaged?!"

Annabeth, realising I was talking about her, blushed while Percy gave me a huge grin.

"Uh huh. I proposed to her a few months after you left. And we decided to have the wedding this month, while you are her. Wouldn't want you to miss it, now would we?"

I smiled. My best friends were getting married.

This could have been you and Piper.

This sudden thought shook me. It was true. By now me and Piper could have been happily married, living in an awesome house, maybe with Jason or Piper Jr. filling the emptiness with his/her laughter.

But I guess it was never meant to be.

Piper's POV

I walked towards the dining pavilion. I never wanted to go, but my stomach rumbled in protest. Pretty soon I had to give in.

I entered and sat on the Aphrodite table. I looked up and saw Annabeth, Percy, Jason, Reyna, Nico and Thalia sitting on the Poseidon table, probably catching up.

Normally I would have a place on that table. I would be laughing, the sound merging with that of the others.

I nodded my head unconsciously, agreeing with that thought. But I small mistake ruined it all.

But I guess I would have never found Eric.

But things will never be the same.
