Lilly walked into the school as she had every morning, her hair pulled up in a bun and a flower crown wrapped around her head. Lillian's bangs hung just above her eyes, slightly bouncing as she walked through the halls and to her first class. Lilly stopped just outside the door of her American Civics classroom, looking in and seeing people who she didn't recognize from her usual class.
"Do you need something Lilly?" Mr.Amato asked, looking at her from the board and slightly walking towards the door.
"Oh uh, no I for some reason thought this was uh-my-uh first period class, sorry I'll get going," Lillian rushed away from the classroom trying to think of what day it was and where she would be going. "It's friday...friday...frida- Oh! I have Advisory," Lilly muttered to herself before darting off in the direction where her advisory classroom was. Lillian barely made it over the threshold before the bell rang indicating that the school date had begun.
"Glad to see you made it to class," Mr.Balaban commented glancing up at Lilly from his laptop screen as she passed by his desk.
"Goodmorning," Lillian responded, before taking a seat her desk and emptying her bag onto her desk, looking to see if she had any homework she needed to finish. Lilly threw anything she didn't need back into her bag and worked on a piece of homework that she had halfway done for American Civics.
"Howdy Mr.Balaban, looking chipper as ever," A voice remarked, Lillian instead focused on her work rather than look up from it and see who had come into her advisory.
"Good Morning Oliver, what do you want?"
Lilly's head shot up and her eyes connected with Oliver, he smirked slightly before passing her and making his way over to Mr.Balaban's desk, leaning on it as he began chatting with her advisory teacher.
"I was wondering if you had that homework I didn't do yesterday," He remarked, looking around the room, at some points glancing at Lilly and giving her another smirk.
"Well, if you had it you should have done it before you lost it," Mr.Balaban commented before looking back at his Laptop.
"Well you see, I did do it but I lost it so I was wondering if maybe I could do it now, and since I have you next period," Oliver negotiated.
"Didn't I just hear you say you didn't do it?" The teacher responded, glancing back up at Oliver.
"Uh-well can I just get another copy?" Ollie stuttered, before straightening out his posture and putting his hands in the pockets of his jeans. Mr.Balaban hesitated before looking around his desk and in a few files that piled around him. He picked up a single copy of the homework and looked it over before looking back up at Oliver.
"I only have this copy, I'm gonna need more," He remarked to himself before looking over at Lilly. "Could you run down to the office and make me some more copies Lillian?" Mr.Balaban asked, causing Lilly to tense up in her seat.
"Uh-uh-yeah how many uhm- do you need?" Lillian asked, tripping over her words as she readjusted herself in her seat.
"Probably around ten, I don't know how many kids are going to ask for more copies like Oliver here," he remarked before waving the paper to signal her to get up and come over to his desk. Lillian carefully picked herself up from her chair, stepped over her bag in an attempt to not trip over it as she did in her dream and slowly walk over to Mr.Balaban's desk. Lilly stood next to Oliver, reaching over to grab the homework sheet from Mr.Balaban; Oliver's hand slipped out from his jean pocket and nudged Lilly slightly. Lillian almost jumped as where he had nudged her had been her hip. Lilly's face turned a dark shade of red like it had before, she grabbed ahold of the paper and jerked her arm back.
