Chapter 11: End of the Year Fear

  Today was the day of graduation and college was the middle thing on my list I was thinking of Emily the whole day. Henry was talking to me, Samantha was at his side leaning her head on his shoulder.

Emily rolled her eyes and smiled. Henry was in his graduation gown and cap so was Samantha. Emily walked to the girl bathroom to put her gown on. Samantha was pregnant with Henry's child. Henry was the happiest man on Earth when ever someone mentioned that.

  My mom came towards me. I groaned Destiny was walking again. She looked me in the eye and said," Get your gown on."

  Henry stepped back in fear. My mom looked like she was about to kill me or someone else. Samantha looked at Henry and said," She can't do anything you are a wuss."

  "You think I can't do anything I will be your worse nightmare," my mom warned.

" Whatever," Samantha retorted.

  My mom poured hot coffee on her head. Samantha screamed, Destiny laughed I could see she was crying a bit ago. My mom grabbed Destiny's arm and walked to the car. I stared at her for a little bit. I went into the boy's bathroom and put on my gown. I came out Emily was talking to Henry Samantha had went to put a cold rag on her head.

  "Your mom is crazy dude," Henry laughed.

  "I don't know what's with her she doesn't do that or anything like it." I said. " We got a few hours till the graduation ceremony and all I'm gonna go check on her."

  "I'll come with you for comfort," Emily said.

  We rode to my apartment Emily talked the whole ride about her dad and the new lifestyle she was having. We walked upstairs to the apartment. I heard arguing and things breaking. We ran inside the apartment my mom and dad were arguing he was yelling at my mom Destiny was crying on the stairs.

  " OUR DAUGHTER IS CRYING, CAN YOU PLEASE STOP IT," my mom screamed.

  My dad was wearing his prosthetic leg. His face was red with anger he shoved my mom. My mom walked towards him and slammed him into the wall. He fell down but got right back up. My mom slapped him he looked at her dumbfounded.

  "Get out I want you out of my house NOW," My mom yelled she didn't look at him.

  I moved out of his way. Emily stared at me. I walked towards my mom she broke down and sat on the couch. Destiny ran into her room crying Emily walked after her. My mom looked at me she held my hand her hand was shaking badly. My mom looked at the broken table and the cracks in the wall.

  She pushed me away and stormed into her room. I walked over to her she slammed the door and locked it. Emily came out with Destiny who looked like a scary godmother. She said, " Their getting a divorce and I had to witness that you don't know what I seen."

  I hugged her. We heard a gunshot Destiny screamed. I kicked my Mom's bedroom door down. I looked at her she was still breathing laying on the floor. I called 911. Destiny watched the parmedic put my mom on the gurney. My mom shot her right side.

  Emily started crying I knew she was thinking of her sister. I looked at my watch ONE HOUR BEFORE THE GRADUATION. I grabbed Emily and Destiny and ran to the car. My mom was fine that's all I was happy about it gave me hope. My dad was able to come to the graduation.

  After the graduation ceremony we went to the hospital. Emily and I sat in the car for a while she told me something that changed my life and her life.
