Today was the day, the day that I would be walking into a different school. It had been 2 months since my sister Mikasa had moved away, and now it was just me and my parents.
Don't get me wrong, Mikasa has always been there for me, through thick and thin, but she had recently decided to move in with her girlfriend Annie.
Annie was kind to me, so I didn't have a problem with it....But my parents did...since Annie was such an ass too them. You might be thinking, "Well why did you have to change schools? You weren't the one moving."
What actually happened was my old school shut down due to low budget funds, there forth, kicking out all of its students. We weren't even warned! They just dragged us out of class one morning.
Eh, whatever, I always hated that school, the kids were dicks, and the teachers weren't any better. A girls mother was killed in a car accident, and a teacher made a very offensive remark about it, the girl didn't have her homework done due to stress and anxiety, and the teacher said, "Well, maybe if you actually looked out for you family, you would have your homework done." Asshole.
But now everything was going to change, I was currently walking up to the building that I would be attending for my next year and a half of hell, um, er- Highschool.
I tightened my grip on the shoulder pads that were attached to my backpack and pushed open the double doors.
The school was nothing fancy, plain white walls, rows of teal lockers, and off-white tile flooring, hopefully it was supposed to be off white.
The registration office wasn't difficult to find, since it was right in front of you when you entered. The door was made out of thick cherry oak wood, and I had to really work to pull it open.
The woman sitting at the computer that was tucked inside averted her eyes from her computer too look at me, I literally saw her pupils expand when her gaze landed on me.
"Are you the new student Eren Jaeger?" She asked in a flirtatious tone, batting her eyelashes. I nodded and almost gaged. She was pretty, but she had so much makeup on, she looked like a Barbie girl that had sat out in the sun for far to long.
She turned back to the computer, still batting her eyelashes like she was trying to fly away.
"So Eren, why'd ya change schools?" she asked, still having that Regina George tone to her voice. I ran a hand through my brunette locks, "School budget cuts."
The woman nodded and printed off a piece of paper and handed it too me, "Eren, I'm sorry to ask this of you on such a short notice, but I'm afraid that you have to join a sport, other wise you'll loose half of your participation grade."
My eyes grew wide, I sucked at sports, I wasn't tough, or good with hand eye coordination. "Ma'am, is there any way I could get my grade from something else like choir or theatre?"
She shook her head, "I'm sorry Eren, the principle requires that every student must do at least one sport, he says that it will help with our nations obesity problems. Oh and please don't call me ma'am, call me Stacy."
I just nodded, "Do you have a list of sports that are available?"
She clicked her tongue and typed a few things on her keyboard. "Well," Stacy said after a few moments, "Since its spring, we have bowling, golf, baseball, softball, and..." She narrowed he eyes as if she needed glasses to read the last one, "Track."
