Chapter13-Cass's Past

The ride there was mostly silent.I could feel Cassiel's eyes on me but I didnt want to look him in the eye.His stare made heat rush to my cheeks and I scooted closer to the window.He sighs heavily,making me jump."You know if there's a lot you have to ask,why not ask me?"I looked at him abit confused"What,can you read minds or something?"He aimed a smirk at me that sent chills down my spine"Every immortal can read minds,just like a few hours ago I read your mind"he paused"you were checking me out,I knew it."Heat rushed to my cheeks and I was shaking my head in total denial."I know you have questions so,ask away anything you want."I hesitated for a moment"Ok Cassiel,how old are you?"He laughed slightly loud and says"you can ask me any question in the world and you choose to ask my age ?"I shyly nod my head yes looking at my shoes."Well Daisy,I am actually 421 years old but,kind people say I look about 21."I can feel my jaw slowly start to fall from shock."Don't worry though baby girl,I have the body of a god"he smirked.I began feeling super uncomfortable and he read my mind."If only you knew "he mumbles."If only I knew your dark past huh?"His eyes widen"Can you read minds too?!"I blushed red"It was only a lucky guess."His head slumps down in disappointment."You would have never even speak to me if you knew about my dark past."Inside I was dying to know about Cassiels past but there was no way in hell I'd ever admit that.I just shrugged and hoped it ended soon.Soon enough the awkward ride ended and the carriage stopped.I open the door to see Lucy's nervous face.He sends me a reassuring smile but I roll my eyes causing him to frown.He holds his hand out to help me out but, I jumped out on my own and stood there.I feel a large hand grip mine and a warm tingling sensation filled my body."Don't worry it's just Cas"he reassuringly says kissing the top of my head.I blushed red but thank God it was too dark to see.He led me back to Lucy's castle and placed me on my bed tucking my in."Till next time hun"he leans and kisses my cheek and my eyes grow heavily and sleep overcame me.
