• The gorgeous Marie Ange is going to be Dawn, but you can always imagine her as someone else.•
Once the bell rang, I jumped out of my seat and ran straight to the door, not wanting to answer Caden's questions about what my friends and I think about his posse. I sighed " The first class of the day could of been worse." I think about bad scenarios that could of happened in history class like throwing up on the grouchy Mrs. Nelson. Now that would of been terrible.
Not paying attention, I bump into someone. I murmur a sorry and keep walking. Suddenly, I feel a hand on my shoulder, then I realize, I had bumped into Indigo. "Hey Indigo, sorry I was daydreaming" I chuckle. "What is your next class? I barely looked at your schedule," Indigo asked. "Umm.. I have Ms. Adams for Math." I responded. Indigo smiled " We have the same class, come on, we better hurry before the bell rings!" "Being late to class on the first day isn't a great first impression," Indigo reasoned.
Indigo and I got into class, right before the bell rang. Ms. Adams was a younger blonde teacher. She looked like a chill teacher. Mrs. Adams didn't seem two-faced or rude like Mrs. Nelson. As I look around the room, I see some people from other classes last year, but the only person I actually know well and talk to is Indigo. FML. Two of the 'popular' guys, Grayson and Ryder, were also in this class. This is honestly going to be the worst school year ever. Im surprised that these f-boys are actually somewhat smart.
Since Ms. Adams was a nice teacher, she let us sit wherever we wanted. Indigo was making her way to sit down next to me when all of sudden I overhear Grayson talking to Ryder. "It's a nice view I have over here." He smirked. After Grayson's remark, a confused voice was heard at the back of the room. "There are no windows you silly goose!" Grayson and Ryder start laughing hysterically and soon it becomes contagious and the whole room, even the teacher was laughing. When I looked back at Indigo, she looked pissed. At the top of her lungs Indigo screams "Stop talking about my butt!" The class goes silent and Indigo storms out the room.
I get up and excuse myself to go look for Indigo. I think to myself " If I was Indigo, where would I be?" I dart down the hallways to the bathrooms to see if she was there. Checking every stall, she was no where to be found. Then I remembered her favorite spot on the school property, a bench underneath a huge oak tree. I slowed down when I saw the two backdoors and pushed them open. I saw Indigo cradling her knees, looking out into the distance.
I instantly wrap my arms around her body to comfort her. Indigo puts her head on my shoulder and I think of a great idea. "Hey Indigo, lets go get Blair so we can all get some ice-cream." I beamed. "Ice-cream sounds good right now, thanks Dawn," Indigo smiled. " This is what best friends are for" I stated.
"Indigo are you 100% sure Blair is in this class," I stressed. "How am I supposed to know?" Indigo admitted. I sighed, she will never know what its like being socially awkward. I take a deep breath and opened the door. " Is Blair Coleman in this class?" I ask tentatively. I hear someone stand up and walk to the door. Blair raises her eyebrow and steps out the classroom. "We're going to get ice-cream," Indigo clarifies. Blair replied "Tell me what happened when we are at the parlor."
We ended up getting our ice-cream to-go. I got a blue moon flavored ice-cream ( which tastes like fruity pebbles), Indigo got plain chocolate and Blair got rocky road. While I was driving to McDonalds for lunch, Indigo told Blair what had happened in math class. After Indigo told the story, Blair was laughing so hard her eyes were tearing up. I heard Indigo grumble some words along the lines of I hate you guys so much.
Pulling up into the McDonalds drive thru, I ordered three small fries and one big Dr. Pepper for all of us to share. I pay the worker the amount of money and set off to go to sixth period.
I park into an empty school parking space for the second time today. We walked in the building and headed straight to study hall. Since we were tired out, we relaxed and hung out the whole period. The bell rings and we go our separate ways.
I looked down at my schedule and saw I had journalism with Mr. Hall. Going into the classroom, I see Mr. Hall. He looks like that hipster guy who would bring a typewriter to Starbucks. I practically ran to the last window seat in the classroom. Right when Mr. Hall was about to start class, Damien Evans casually strolls in without a care in the world.
Mr. Hall just shakes his head and tells him to take a seat. The only remaining seat was the one right next to me. Once Damien sits down, Mr. Hall went on. "Before I was interrupted by this guy right here, he grinned at Damien, what I was going to say was you better have chosen your seat wisely because this is where you will be sitting for the rest of the year." From the corner of my eye, I see Damien roll his eyes. I can just see the joy gleaming in his eyes. Mr. Hall explained a project coming up in a few weeks, and time felt like it passed by so fast when the bell rang.
As soon as I got home from school, I texted Indigo and Blair to come sleepover so we can talk about our school day. Indigo replied saying she would be here in ten minutes while Blair didn't even read the message yet. Knowing Blair, she would be late, like always. Once everyone arrived, We grab a bunch of snacks and run up to my room. We talked about everything from school to guys.
"Oh! I totally forgot to tell you guys," Blair exclaimed. "What happened?" Indigo asks. Blair sighs and starts to talk " So in first period I had Mr. Ray for math and I was stretching my foot out in the aisle and Caden just so happened to walk down the same aisle and trips over my legs and fell on his face." I nearly spit out my water on Indigo when I heard fell on his face. "Also, Caden mouthed to me that 'it's on'." Blair said while looking at her nails. "Well you did give him your fight-me look in the morning," Indigo points out. "Indigo has a point," I agreed. Blair smirked " I guess this means war." I felt my eyelids droop and I end up falling into a dreamless sleep.
