Chapter 3: Backfired?

I woke up early in the morning. It was pretty shocking since I hate waking up, and that Matt usually wakes me up. So imagine his surprise when he came into my room, cup in hand, and saw that I was up and ready.I went downstairs and did everything I had to do. In my head I was thinking of my plan. I didn't have to pay attention to everything around me, or what I was meant to do. I was in autopilot. It's kinda sad that I have done this so many times that its implanted in my brain. And that it's part if my routine.

I walked to school as usual. But as I entered I saw Kayden with the local slut, Ashley. Usually mates would be hurt but not me. I found it ironic, that the school player and the school's slut were together. And I was oh so lucky to have him as my mate.

I laughed out loud bitterly and humorously. That caused a few heads to turn. I hardly laughed, nor did I ever smile. I was emotionless.

Ashley looked angry, so did Kayden. But I didn't really care. You see, my pack doesn't really want me happy or excited. It's like a mockery to them. So I guess when I laughed they thought I was mocking them. They were on the right track.

Kayden and I made eye contact. I smirked slightly and he looked away. That made me smirk more. I felt a slap come to my face. I didn't flinch or move my head. I looked up and saw Ashley. With her hand raised. Guess she didn't want me to look at Kayden. Well to bad!

"Don't you ever look at Kayden! You filthy slut! Kayden is mine!!! If you look at him again I will kick you out of this pack. I will be future Luna!!" Ashley screamed at me.

I tried to hold in my laughter. Key word tried. I burst out laughing, clutching my stomach. My sides started to hurt from me laughing so hard. I looked up at Ashley. She was fuming. If she was a cartoon character she would have steam coming our of her ears. That caused me to laugh a little more.Everyone was looking at me angrily or like I was crazy. I straightened myself up.

"I do not want Kayden. You can have him. Do not even put me in the same category as him or you because I'm not a slut. Your probably so loose that instead of a baby coming out. It can crawl back in. And for your information, your not Luna. You would have to be mates. And you can't be mated since you guys cheat on eachother every day. And you would have announced it already." I said.

If a alpha finds his mate he has to immediately announce it to the pack. That way we know who our Luna is. And so that no one bothers his mate.

Ashley was so mad after my little speech. But before she could say anything, the bell rang. I smiled cockily and walked away. I knew I was going to get beat for that later. But right now I just didn't care.

As my day went along I noticed that kayden was staring at me....a lot. Every time I met his gaze he looked away. Earning a questioning look from me. Another thing that I noticed was that no one bullied me. At all today. And the last thing I noticed was that Ashley had a smug face through out the whole day. But I just brushed it off as everyone was excited for kaydens party to bother me. But I was oh so wrong.

I was walking home when I felt a sense of dread come over me. My head was spinning and my wolf was going crazy. Fear, sadness, anger and dread rushed through my body. I clutched my head and my chest. Both parts if my body in deep pain. I screamed loudly. Why was this happening?!?

I tried to talk with my wolf but she was going haywire. She was thrashing around in my head causing me to have a huge headache. I started to fade into darkness, I noticed a group of people in front of me. I managed to look up to see a smug Ashley, and emotionless kayden, and a laughing group of there friends. I managed to get out one thing before I passed out... Why?
