When I was little I had a knack for catching bugs, fish, digging up rocks, and collecting fruit. Each day I went outside in the process of fulfilling these activities, I would meet up with some of my neighbors Rosie, Bob, Chief, and Hopper. Some times we would hang out or go to the street next to us and visit other people. That's when we met her. She was a short, thin girl who wore a blank white mask that matched her pale skin. In fact, the mask matched her so well we believed she was a faceless person. Strangely she always wore bright, often flower printed dresses that seemed to contradict the thought of her paleness. We called her Blanca and never had to worry about avoiding her because she was always stuck inside her house sick.
Our parents would always tell us to be nice to poor Blanca because she's a special little girl and gets sick more than one person should their whole life. Although, when we did see Blanca, she was sitting in her front yard with a box of markers and crayons. The moment she saw us, she would ask if we could draw her a new face. Not wanting to be rude, one of us would try our best to draw something nice but she never did like what we did. We were never sure but some times Blanca seemed to cry when her new face wasn't good enough. Then she would run to her house and wash it off before anyone could say more than a "sorry." The moment she was gone, we would run to the next street as quickly as possible and meet up with Rover who would ask if we saw the "faceless girl."
