The ticking of the clock did not ease the childrens minds, nor did the sounds of footsteps coming towards their house, ready to pick up any boxes that were left for the U-haul. Both Elizabeth and Zachary looked at eachother in disbelief, both knowing what was going to happen to them. " are we really going to be moving, Zack?" Elizabeth asked her twin brother. Zachary shrugged his shoulders and went back to playing spaceships and superheros. Zachary and Elizabeth were fraternal twins, both with different fathers whom they never met in their life. Zachary and Elizabeth both had a strawberry blonde hair that was always messy due to the amount of play that they endured, as well hazel eyecolor that sparkled a curiousity just like any other child in the world. " Hey Zack, come here Koby's waking up." Elizabeth called, looking at the little creature prodding its head up from the box. " Hi little guy." Koby was a small bird that Elizabeth rescued when she was out with her mother and stepfather. She had found the small bird crouched between a couple of boxes and a starving cat before she chased the cat away by giving it some food that she had, which was a ham sandwich. " I thought mom said we couldnt have any wild animals in the house?" " She did." James cocked his head. " Then why is there a bird in that box."
Sarah grabbed the box and began moving the bird over to her bed. " Because she's sick and I'm fixing her.". James blankly stared at his sister and shook his head. He couldnt understand his sisters love for animals, just like she couldnt understand his love for cars. " Lizzy, Zack, come over here its time to go." there mother, Trisha called out. Both kids grabbed their stuff, not wanting to leave their home behind. "Lizzy, whats in your box?" The mother asked, pointing to a box that was moving alot. "My friend koby, do you wanna meet him?" She asked, opening the box, which may have been a good idea for her, but to a terrified bird and woman well, not so much. " Lizzy, what did I say about scaring your mother." a rough voice said, over at her doorside . " Sorry daddy, I was just showing mom my new friend." look, I know you love animals and love to take care, and your doing a great job at it , but could you please keep them outside? Besides, your friend seems to be doing fine" He said, handing his hand out. Lizzy took a moment before holding box over the bird and handing it to her father. " Thank you sweetie." He said, " Now be good and listen to mommy okay" The kids nodded, giving hugs and kisses before they started to drive out. " Mom, When is dad going to come to the new home." Zack said excitedly.
