"Ohhhhh, my grown-up girl, going to college!" Mum said while squeezing my cheeks.
"Muuuuummmmmm," I managed to get those words out of my squashed mouth.
"Sorry, I'm just too excited!" Mum released her grip. I didn't tell her about the phone call I had yesterday, I didn't want to anyway. "So are you excited for your new chapter in life?" She smiled.
"Oh, well, yes and no?" I answered.
"You'll get used to it overtime," Mum replied with a grin while she 'escorted' me to the entrance of the grand school that I'll be attending.
"Have fun in your new college! See you soon, my darling," she said with a wink. I waved goodbye and took a step into my new life.
