The Grimm Maiden [RWBY Fanfic]

Prologue

The Humans describe us as the "creatures of destruction" and a lack of soul...

They also say that we are drawn to feelings of negativity... envy... sadness... loneliness... even hatred... often congregating towards the source of these emotions.

At one point, ancient cultures believed that we were animals possessed by evil spirits, or were the spirits of once tortured animals...

For that it's true...

Long ago before mankind existed there was a world filled with peace... animals running around freely and happily...but then when they appeared... is was hell for us...

Humans began to hunt us down for a source of food...

Destroying homes for their needs...

And using our dear love ones fur for a source of warmth...

They didn't even hesitate to do these things... it's because they are selfish...

Selfish to hurt others for their needs...

They didn't even thought about what we were feeling...because they thought we were too dumb...

When mankind appeared we were consumed... and in our eyes were only one thing we felt... hatred...

Our bodies have started to change... instead of our multi colors fur it has change to black... we started growing amour of the color white with red lines and our eyes turned blood red... and in our minds were only one thing we think of...Killing Humans...

Because of this we went on war with Humans...

And they called us Grimms...

Targeted early Humans for as long as can be remembered, seeking to destroy them and all of their creations they have caused for the Grimms grief...

At first, the Grimms would have succeeded, as Humans did not have the strength to fight us...

However, the Humans discovered the power of Dust... and with it, the Grimms were driven back...

During this time, the Humans enjoyed a time of peace and soon formed their own kingdoms, which grew to survive and prosper...

While Grimms grew in numbers and more hatred towards the Humans...

Grimms were initially mindless and heedless of risk during their youths, to where Grimms will simply attack any Humans on sight, some of them are so powerful that they have survived to live for hundreds of years...

In that time Grimms have evolved and learned from our experiences fighting humanity...

In doing so, Grimms have exhibited restraint and the patience to avoid taking unnecessary causalities in futile conflicts...

Instead, Grimms stay close to humanity's borders, waiting for the opportunity to come where Grimms can finally strike and thus making mankind in ever present danger, even in times of apparent peace.

However...there was one Human who believed in Grimms side of their story... she was a very kind maiden with hair as white as snow and eyes like rubys like the Grimms colors...

When the Grimms found her, lost in the woods she didn't show any fear... instead she showed them a smile of kindness...

The Grimms were very confused on why she would showed them this kindness instead of showing fear and running away... but her first sentence to the Grimms changed their whole lives.

"I know how you are feeling..."

At first the Grimms didn't believe her which made them even more angry... but she didn't stop...

"You are feeling hated and grief because of us... and that I am sorry..."

"For years I have read in books about how you were the "creatures of destruction" and how evil you are... but instead of believeing it like anyone else... I don't..."

"I knew how there was a world of peace for animals before we have appeared... and for us to survive we had to kill your species, destroy your homes all for our needs... and no one even repay you for it... but your not the only one who feels the same... I do..."

"Someone murdered my parents and robbed my homes... they almost killed me in the progress... so now I am living off of streets cold, hungry and even beaten for being a freak..."

"If you do not believe me and do want to kill me... I accept, it would put me out of my misery..."

When the Grimms had heard her speech they were shock to think that she would accept death so easily...

So instead of doing it... they took her to their home...

After years has pasted someone saw her talking to the Grimms even though she doesn't understand them but she didn't care...

The Human thought that she was a traitor to mankind and told the rest... so when she was all alone the Humans captured her and sentenced her to death...

When the Grimms have heard that the sweet maiden who has believed in them has fallen... they were blinded by rage and attack the humans but because of their discovering of dust many have fallen...

Years have pasted since the death of the fallen maiden...

One day their was crying near the Grimms home when some went out to see what it was they found a baby girl who has hair as white as snow...

When the Grimms walks closer to the infant she opened her eyes showing the eyes of ruby like the sweet maiden that has fallen years ago...

When the infant see them instead of crying more because of their scary features she giggled and reach out her arms to them...

The Grimms thought of her as the sweet maiden and took her to their home where she will be raised and possibly change the world making Human and Grimm together in peace.

And that baby is me...
