"Sshh...! She'll wake up if you keep laughing" someone hissed. After hearing a stifled giggle, the sound of a light smack echoed through the room. I slowly open my eyes and take a look around the room. Looking to my right, I see Blair shrieking "Oh it is so on bitch!" as she tackled Indigo onto the floor. I went to go reach for my phone, and then I ended up face-planting straight into the ground. Indigo and Blair stopped what they were doing and turned around to see me laying on the wood floor. "I'VE MCFALLEN!" I screech. Laughter erupted and I saw the two of them holding their stomachs and laughing like lunatics.
When we were walking down the stairs, I declared "I'm not doing my makeup anymore I'm over it." "Good, you're beautiful without it anyways" Indigo smirks. I narrow my light brown eyes knowing that Indigo is never this nice in the morning, or ever. Indigo smiles back at me and I turn and call out to my mom and say " We are going out to little café down the street." My mom looks at me with a puzzled look. "Ok but..." she rambled "We really need to get going, sorry" apologizes Blair and she pushes me through the door.
Blair opens the door and the tiny bell above jingles. "You three want the usual right?" Veronica clears her throat to hide her obvious laughter. Veronica has straight, black hair with dark brown eyes and high cheekbones. Blair fake sighs, "You know you don't need to ask anymore." " Hey guys, is it just me or is everyone staring at me weirdly." I ask the two as we sit down. "Do I have a bump on my face from this morning?" I question. "No, you look fine" Blair reassures me. I felt like Blair wasn't telling me the whole truth, but I brushed it off.
After sitting at the café talking for awhile, I told the two I was going to the bathroom. "Can't you hold it until school?" Blair persists. "The food will be here in a minute anyways" Indigo adds. "You guys are up to something.... I'll be right back" I said while walking off. I see them whispering and Blair sends me a wink.
I push open the door and walk past the mirror. I do a double-take once I see my reflection. "What the fu..." I was speechless. I have a unibrow, a unattractive and huge mole right in the middle of my forehead, a goatee, and cat whiskers sharpied on my face. I was livid, I could not believe they had done this to me. "ARE YOU SERIOUS I HATE YOU TWO, WHY AM I EVEN FRIENDS WITH YOU" I rambled while screaming at the top of my lungs.
Everyone around me was bewildered and the room fell silent. I kept on yelling while my so-called friends laughed at me. "HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GO TO SCHOOL LIKE THIS?!?" I scream. "Just put your hood up, then it won't be noticeable." Indigo points out. I grumble as I forcefully put my hood on. After muttering incoherent curses at my friends, we pay the bill and head off to school.
I walk into school and know, this is not going to be a good day. I bid the two goodbye and put my backpack in my locker. Feeling stressed, I took out one of my infamous watermelon lolly-pops. Right as I turn around to head to class, the bell rings. I look down as I ask a random girl what period we are in. She replies with 3rd period and I head in that direction. Looking at my schedule, I have Mr. Clark for science. Opening the door, I look down and take a seat in the back of the room. Luckily, the teacher seemed nice and doesn't tell me to put my hood down.
Hearing the door open, I see Blair walk in. Blair takes a seat next to me and she laughs. I glare at her hoping she would shut up, but Blair laughs harder at my weak impression of looking intimidating. I roll my eyes and start listening to my teachers instructions. "Been awhile since I've seen you with your lolly-pops" Blair smirks. I reply saying 'whatever' and focus on the teacher's words. After completing a worksheet on cells, the bell rings and I just can't wait to get home.
Hanging my head low, I find Mrs. Bauman's English class and I speed walk inside. I sit down at the very back to make sure no one can see my face. I turn to my left and I see Ryder Williams, one of Damien's squad members. A piece of his ashy blonde locks fall over his light blue eyes. I quickly turn my head so he won't catch me looking at him, I don't want him to get the wrong idea. Mrs. Bauman assigns the class with an essay about our interests due this Friday. The class was dismissed and I head to lunch.
I enter the cafeteria and see my so-called 'friends' and sit down. Blair has her lunch packed as always, and Indigo and I walk up to the lunch line. "Indigo you have to get my lunch for me, I am not looking at the lunch lady" I whine. "Okay I will, chill out" Indigo replies while she gives me a smug look. We head back to our table where Blair was sitting there looking like a loner. Indigo smiles and yells out "Loner!" at Blair. Blair turns her head and rolls her eyes at us. After talking and eating, I felt like something terrible was going to happen.
