Chapter 7- Meeting Mr Sugg

Chapter 7

God I never realised how far away Bath actually was from Brighton, did you know its a three hour car journey?! I got very bored but I think I slept most if the way as I had a terrible nights sleep the night before as all I could think about was Joe's dad, what if he thinks I am a slut for getting pregnant while drunk at a party? What if he tells Joe that he cant 'adopt' the baby that he is being stupid thinking he could.

"We are here!" Joe shouted making me jump "oh sorry" he said smiling at me in apology.

I climbed out the back of the car, I grabbed my handbag from the middle seat and going round to the boot to grab my suitcase "em I don't think so, you are not carrying a heavy suitcase in you condition" Joe said I just raised an eyebrow at him "Joe I am three months, I am fine to carry a bag of clothes" but he wasn't any of it he just shock his head and walked into the house.

"Dad we are home" Zoe shouted up the stairs. A small man about the same height as Joe walked down the stairs.

"How is my two babies, Alfie, long time no see how are you man and who is this beautiful young lady?" he said.

"Dad this is em... my em..." Joe stuttered I could see what he was trying to say he wanted to say his something but I technically wasn't his anything. "This is Alfie's best friend Megan" he said looking at me wit sad eyes, why is he said he is that that hasn't plucked up the courage to actually ask me out yet.

"Very nice to meet you" I said shaking my hand.

"Thank you, I am leaving with Alfie as the minute as I have just moved back here from university in Newcastle and my parents... well my parents kicked me out" I said to him realising I had probably said a bit too much. I looked at the other three and they all looked at each other realising that that was their cue to take him into the living room to tell him exactly why I was here.

We all went in to the living room and Joe told his dad, from how I got pregnant to the fact that he is going to 'adopt' the baby and raise it with me. He just sat there for a while after Joe had finished, which I kind of expected it was a lot to take in at once, he just sat there a looked between me and Joe then started smiling "so can I technically say that I am going to be a grandpa?" he said with a massive smile. I looked and Joe and he looked at me, we both smiled at each other a nodded, we hadn't really thought of it that way "well yeah I guess so" I said to him. He stood up and walked over to me "welcome to the family Megan" he said giving me hug.

"Please just call me Meg" I said.

"OMG I am going to be a dad" I heard from beside me on the sofa, I turned and looked at Joe he was sat there crying. I think the penny has just dropped that he is actually going to be a dad. I pulled him into a hug "well done, have you only just noticed" Zoe said from the other side of the room laughing. All Joe could do was sit and nod. I just sat laughing trying to get him to stop crying.

"Right I think we could actually go and unpack now that that is sorted" Alfie said laughing.

"Actually Alf, is there any point me fully unpacking? I am in the process of packing everything to take to Brighton" Zoe said.

"Actually Zoe you have a point" Joe said "why should I unpack really? I am doing the same"

I didn't quite realise what he said at first, I just nodded along.

"Wait what?! Your packing?" I said "why?"

All four of them just sat there smiling at me, I had no clue what was going on, was Joe moving away and he didn't think to tell me?

"Oh did I forget to tell you? I have rented a flat in Brighton so that you don't have to come up to me and I don't have to come down the you. Especially when the baby is born that would have just been annoying and I wouldn't be helping must being so far away. I was wondering if you.. em wanted to be my room mate? So we are in the same place and I am there for you if you needed me before and after the pregnancy." Joe said and all I could do was hug him and nod uncontrollably. Everyone was awwwing and laughing.

Dinner time 

"Alfie, Zoe dinner is ready" Joe shouted up the stairs and they both came running down the stairs, Alfie not sported a pretty pink dressing down. I sat at the table and raised an eyebrow "Alf you forgetting something?" I said and he looked down and blushed bright red taking it off.

Joe had cooked a lovely pasta dish for dinner with tomato sauce it was one of the nicest pasta dishes I have ever tasted. "Joe this is incredible, god being your roommate with mean that I am going to become 5 stone heavier and that's without the baby weight" I said laughing.

"Oh yeah our Joe does cook some delicious meals, I am surprised I am still the weight I am" Zoe said "if you ever need to eat something that isn't home cooked I am sure you can come to ours as us both can't really cook... I just burn" I just sat there laughing uncontrollably at her.

At the end of the dinner me and Alfie did the dishes even though the Suggs all protested, but we still did them. At the end of the night I ended up falling asleep on the sofa while watching a film with everyone.

The next morning 

I woke up in a unusual bed, I turned over and saw a small but muscular figure lying next to me. Its Joe, he must have put me in his bed last night once I fell asleep. He started to stir and turned over so that he was facing me with he eyes open "goodmorning beautiful" he said making me blush.  He draped his arm over me and pulled me closer to him and placed his hand on my stomach again but then jerked up. "what's the matter?" I said with concern on my voice.

"Stand up" he said frantically.

"What why?" I asked getting up like he said.

"Just come over her" he said grabbing my hand and pulling me over to his closet, he opened it revealing a mirror. He turned me around the that I was sideways to the mirror, he stood behind me and raised me top to above me stomach just below my ribs "look" is all he said to make me realise what he was so frantic about, the little bump that I had yesterday is now more visible and you can actually see and feel it.

"OMG its so cute, its so small" I said with a tear and my eye.

"Just think it wont be that small for long" he said "he will probs be out here before you know it" he said putting his hand over to a lot further away from me. I just laughed at him and looked down at my stomach "how far along are you now?" he asked rubbing my bare stomach.

"3 months" I said smiling down.

I love this, I want this to last forever. Me, Joe and our baby... yes our baby that's what it is. Joe is this babies Daddy, he always will be.
