Chapter 10, Secrets

  "Who was that?" Niclas asked me as i walk back outside.

  "My brother, Chase, and his friend Jared are coming to stay a here for a while." I sigh walking to the chair set I have outside. "My parents are fighting or something, and the still live there. They want to get away, cause when my mom and dad fight, it last for a while." I say resting my head in my hands.

  "Do you want us to leave?" Jaybee asks. "We can. If you want."

  "No, you don't have to. In fact I want you here." I mumble into my hands, but he seems to have understand what I was saying. He stands behind me as he rubs my back. "Can we talk?" I ask him as I look up, hopeful. 

  "Sure."He says. I lead him inside, and to the kitchen, skipping the couch because to many thing had happened there.

  "Stay here, i need to change. If Chase come, let him in." I say heading out. "Oh and if you would, get me some sugar and a peach, please." I say before I walk into my room and change. I walk out and go to the kitchen in my Hello Kitty PJ bottom and a white tee.

  "Here you are." He says as he hands me my sugar and peaches.

  "Thanks." I say as I eat them before talking. "They are fighting cause of me. They always fight cause of me. It happened even before I left. I don't want to get into how long it lasts, but lets just say the shortest was weeks long. I always tired to go away from it nut it never helped. They got even more angry at me. I hated it so i always stayed in my room. Unless Chase's friends came over, because I felt like I could forget, and I did.But then it came back and it always made me scared. I know they can't do that anymore but that's why I always stay so calm,or try too." I say, telling him everything. I don't know why, but I trusted him already, and it was hard to gain my trust. "All I ever wanted was someone to be afraid of losing me, but no one ever really was."

  He looked at me as I look the last bite of my peach. I went to go through it away and get a new one, I eat when I'm sad. I grabbed it and walked back to the bar to put it down. He had leaned against the sink and was soon over at my side. He hugged me and, even though startled, I hugged him back.

  "My parents fought too. They scared everyone when they did. It didn't last for weeks , but i know something like you went through. I also know what it's like to want someone to be afraid of losing me." He said and in that moment, I never felt closer to anyone in my life.  I don't know why, but i started to cry. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry. I should-" I grab him tighter, not wanting him to let go.

  "It's not your fault. I'm not sad, I'm happy. Thrilled even." I told him as I let go slightly. He grab me tighter just as the door to the kitchen busrt open. 

  'OH hey! Sorry I was just getting beers, i didn't think you were in here. I can lave if you want" Jolle says as he looks down.

  "Get your beer." I tell him as I snuggle up to Jaybee. He hugs me to him and we don't even hear when Jolle leaves. That was the most perfect moment in my life and I never wanted it to end. My phone rang then. I was going to ingore it but Jaybbe answers it.

  "Hello?" He asks.

  "Yeah, she's up, but she's kinda busy right now, can I take a message?" He asks. After a few minutes he hungs up and and looks at me. "Sam is coming down later this week. She also wants to talk to you about me." 

  "She told you that?" I ask in disbelieve. 

  "No but I know she will." He says as the knock on the door and I'm running to it, knowing that it's Chase. I open the door and jump up and hug him. But it wasn't Chase, it was Jared. I jumped out of his arms and hug Chase, the guy behind him. "Hey Katy Bug!" he yells as he walks in, me still hugging him. By know, all the guys were in the living room watching Chase, like he was not sopused to be here.

   "Everyone, This is my brother Chase! And his friend Jared! They are gonna stay with me a while." I tell them so the don't htink that Chase is someone to worry about,
