"Saki!" My mother, Raewin, screamed my name at me, she shook me roughly. "Go go go!" She cried. Her short thick black hair was sticking out in every direction. Sirens where blaring. Gun shots. Men shouting.
I got up immediately, the atmosphere indicated that something was very wrong. Everything seemed to be going in slow motion.

"What's going on?!" My 14 year old sister, Sāmabi gasped.
And then it happened. The first bomb.
"RUN!" My father, Bïstama, shrieked. Mother grasped my one year old brother, Chiemu, and jump out the window. We followed.
Sāmabi jumped next, then father, then me. They knew I could sprint fast. Faster then fast. So they knew I would be able to catch up.

Armed men pointed the way. No one knew where "The Way" was. I asked one or two people but all they ever did was look at me, confused. Everyone was confused. The sirens started making rhythms. Wee-woo wee-woo. My family where just in front of me. Suddenly we where greeted by five extremely large space shuttles. Crowds of Japanese villagers filled all of the area. People where boarding with there families. I looked up at the big triangular space craft. Scared. It towered over me.
"Father—" I looked up to stare into is dark brown eyes, but he was gone. I looked around me. More bombs.

A gun shot.
Two. Three. Four five six seven eight.

Shouting.

Blaring sirens.

Where is my family? Where are you? Mother? Father? Sāmabi? Chiemu...?
"Go go go! Do you want to die, girl?" An elderly man pushed me to the space ship, I quickly looked at the scene one last time. My little town called Treggon in the North of Japan. My home. And then I saw them. My family. They where boarding the space ship next to mine.

Bomb.

Explosion.

Bang.

Crash.

Do you ever do something, like pass a ball to your friend, and you sort of see it in slow motion? Well that's what happened just then. The bomb exploded right next to my family. The explosion seemed slow. Everyone got out of the way, except one man. Bïstama. My father. I turned my head, but not fast enough. I saw him fly to the ground. Tears filling my eyes, and I quickly ran to the shuttle.

The ship was massive, beyond massive. It's like they knew that the world was slowly coming to an end.
The doctors and men and women who controlled the ship and everything going on pushed us around. Everyone was with there families, brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, girlfriends and boyfriends, husbands and wives. And I am all alone. I have no one.

I have never been this scared in my life.

They gave us numbers and groups to do with our last names. Group 1 was A's, 2 was B's, etc. I was Rin so I was towards the end. 10 minutes later and a nice woman called Saiko started calling the Q's and I got ready.

"...Rika, Riko, Rin..." I walked and stood in the line with everyone else. Once they had finished calling our group they numbered us.

"1, 2, 3, 4..." She pointed at me. "5..." I walked behind everyone else, we were guided by a tall skinny doctor called Misayo. He used to be the head boy at my High school and then graduated to become a doctor.

"Wait here," he told us and walked away. No one said anything. I looked at the floor.

"This is terrifying," a teenage boy a few years older then me whispered in my ear. I looked up at him and nodded. I didn't want to say anything. My voice would shake. I would cry. I have to be strong. For ma, for pa. For my family. It's just me now. "Do you know what's going to happen?" He asked. I shook my head. "You can talk, it's alright. It's better to talk about how your feeling then to keep it all in." I looked away.

"I'm sorry," I dismissed. My voice sounded groggily, like I was about to erupt into a panic attack at any moment.

"Don't be sorry. Okay if you don't want to talk, I will." Although I could do with some quiet right now it was nice to have someone babbling away to me. It made me feel less alone. "What's your name?" He asked with a smile on his face. He seemed to be the only one though.

"Saki." I answered trying to sound happier. It wasn't working.

"Oh, I'm Shibo. Nice to meet you." His aura was so happy and friendly. It made me feel so safe. I wish I had that effect on people. "I think—" but he was cut off when Misayo and an armed guard came back.

"Excuse me," Misayo coughed. "You were assigned a number, yes?" We all nodded in unison. "There are human size oxygen vessels just over there," he pointed further up the ship. "They have a number above them, the number you were assigned too is your oxogen vessel. Get inside them and stay there until any further instruction." Shibo and I walked side by side to the tanks. The tension was scary. It was more then scary. Shibo was number 14 and I was 5.

"Bye, Shibo." I whispered.
"Bye, Saki!" He said. "Good luck." He nodded at me and walked away.

-

I sat in the small seat inside the oxogen vessel. The tap of shoes and the sound of voices came closer to me as Misayo and one or two guards walked. You can hear them shutting and bolting tight the doors on the tanks.

"Where are we going? I demand to know!" Asked a lady.

"You will... Soon enough." One of the guards answered. I bit my bottom lip. My palms started sweating.

They kept getting closer and closer until it was me.
"Don't worry, Saki," Misayo smiled in a way that made me worry more.
"You remember my name?" I asked.
"Of course I do. How could I forgot you?" And then he signalled to the guard to close the door. I could feel him securing it so that no air could escape. And then the oxogen started going. And so did another gas to make me doze off until we get to wherever we are going. My eyes slowly closed, and suddenly I was lost in a deep sleep.
