~ Five Years, Three Months & Twelve days ago~

"Come on Sasha, You don't want to be late" Mom Screamed from downstairs. It was the first day of tenth grade and she was right, I did not want to be late. I took my phone and texted Amy. Amy was the type of friends you have that is close enough for you to hang out with every day but at the same time not close enough for you to tell all your secrets to. She was also the type of friends that made you feel better about yourself and to be honest I always felt like she looked up to me. "Hey, Amy. I'm leaving for school. meet you there. xoxo" I then ran downstairs. I sat down at the kitchen table and started making cereals when my Father came down. "Hey, Dad." I said as he sat down in his bathrobe. A bunch of people got laid off at his work because the company is going asunder. He has enough savings to keep the family going but I'm not sure for how long. Ever since his lay off he just stays in his bathrobe and just does nothing all day "Good morning. Won't you be late for school?" He asked as he Started making tea before going back to bed. "I know I'm waiting for Dan" Daniel is my older brother. He was two and a half years older than me. He was starting his last year of high school today. He was one of he most popular kids at school and he was also the fullback in the school's football team. He would always make fun of how unpopular I was or how I was never invited to parties. I would always tell him I wasn't invited to parties because I didn't want to go but he never believed me. "Sweetheart, where is your brother" Mom said while taking the car keys off the counter and trying to balance the newspaper, her phone, her purse and also drinking her morning coffee and heading to the car. "Daniel, Get down now or you drive yourself to school." I yell while taking several spoons of my cereals and rushing out of the house "Bye Dad." I say out of breathe. I take an Apple off the table and run to the car. I get in the car and seat shotgun. when Dan comes. "Go back." He says while opening the door. "I got here first" I shout trying to close the door. "Mom !" I yell seeing he is about to kick me out. "Your sister was here first" Mom says "Go seat back and let's go." Dan lets go of the door and I shut it rather brutally and we start going. It started feeling like a routine everyday he'll try to sit in front and everyday he'd sit in the back seat.

"So you're going to the tenth grade?" He speaks with a slight smirk in an effort to frighten me.

"You can't scare me. just keep quiet." I say trying to keep my language family friendly so I won't have to get 'The Speech' from Mom. Daniel then says "Well, at least try to be cool. I don't need you ruining the UnderWood family line. It took time and effort to get this recognition as one of the elites.."

"Where, at the cafeteria?" I hinder at his speech. He keeps speaking and I know I'm about to hear a whole load of crap so I put on my ear phones and listen to music but he kept going on and on about how cool he is and how people would go out of their way to talk to him even though he knows I don't care.

We get to school and the first person I see is Stacey. I am not really that close to Stacey because we just started hanging out a month ago, both our brothers are intensively close. Her brother is just a hotter, blonder, taller version of mine and naturally both our brothers were weird-close-Popular-Friends. But Stacey wasn't like me. she cared about popularity. she would never go out without her 'face' and made sure the people around her were pretty but not pretty enough to out-shine her. "Hey Stacey... Hey!" I yelled grabbing her attention. I opened the car door, got down then turn around to say bye to my Mom and and run towards Stacey. we hug and we start talking when all of a sudden I see my brother greeting this senior guy in a weirdly complex handshake. "Who is that ?" My tongue slips. He looked different. He had long curly hair that he held in a man-bun. He had muscular legs that he fit in his skinny-fit black jeans. He wore these high baskets with just a basic white shirt. "Oh, Him ? his name is Stan. New student but he already hit it with the senior guys. I saw him and my bro hanging out the other night. Stacey kept on talking and I kept on gazing at him thinking of all the things I wanted to do with him. He was very good looking and caught my attention. I coudn't stop myself from staring at him. I was trying to capture him. His face, his body, everything. I wanted to know everything about him. It's weird because I know nothing about him but I just want to be here and watch him just go on and speak about whatever he feels like. I stared down his body and started looking at his ass when he turned around and caught me. I kept on looking when he started smiling at me and ran his hand through his hair. "Damn." I whisper to myself and smile and start watching the floor. I turn around and there comes Amy. She jumps in the middle of Stacey and I and screams "Hey girls!" in a very high toned manner. "Hey!" I reply and can't stop myself from complimenting her shoes. To be honest, they were pretty amazing. We start talking about What we did this summer and then I turn around to see if Stan was still there but he was gone. We walk in the hallways and start talking about everything and nothing.
