Avery Jake, a girl by herself in the world, and in LA. She works in a Café and comes home to her cat, Ed. She goes on everyday, by herself, and feels good about it. She had finished college, getting a degree in psychology. She doesn't want to use that to get a job, because frankly, she hates it.

Calum Hood, a boy that is known by everyone, because he was famous. He is in a band and comes home to his best friends. He goes on everyday, hating everything.

One day, Avery was working in the Café when a young man had walked in. She knew who he was, everyone did, but she didn't care. She just went on and wiped down the counter as all the other girls started freaking out. It was Calum Hood.

Avery's POV

I looked up at the door, as the bell rang. When I did, I saw Calum Hood. Frankly, I didn't care. He was a huge idiot. He was always rude and didn't care for anyone. He took his sunglasses off and walked up to the counter, where I was wiping down. I stopped and stood up straight.

"How may I help you?" I asked politely. He didn't even look at me.

"Can I get a iced chai." He said in monotone. I nodded.

"Okay." I rolled my eyes and turned around. I looked at my co-worker Courtney, who was frozen.

"Court? Could you make an iced Chai please?" I asked and she nodded slowly, staring at Calum.

"Now." I said and she looked at me.

"Okay." She said quietly and quickly started making the drink. I turned back around and looked at Calum, to my surprise, he was already looking at me.

"That will be 3.50." I smile sweetly. He nods and digs through his pockets and pulls out a 5 dollar bill. I grab it and cash it in, and then giving him his change.

"Your drink will be over there, when finished." I point to the other side of the counter. He glances over there and looks back at me.

"Thanks." He mumbles and walks away. I sigh and shake my head, then proceed to get an order from the next customer.

"How may I help you?"

Calum's POV

I looked at her, from across the counter. She was beautiful. She had light brown eyes and perfect lips. She smiled at me sweetly.

"That will be 3.50." That. That was when I knew. She was the one I've been looking for. Before, I wasn't even looking at her. But, when I did. I knew. She would be mine. I nod and dig through my pockets, pulling out a 5 dollar bill. Those stupid American bills. She grabs it and then gives me my change a minute later.

"Your drink will be over there, when finished." She points over to the other side of the counter. I glance over there, but then quickly look back at her, she was already looking at me. With those beautiful eyes and perfect face.

"Thanks." I mumble, not being able to say anything else because I was breathless. She took my breath away. Then, I walk away. I regretted not getting her number. I'll be back tomorrow, and I'll get her number. I will.
