Scorpius

The Yule Ball is what I dread, Rose's huge family, dancing, just everything. But hanging out with my best friends and Rosie will be amazing. Now here I am and I'm still breathing. I look over at Rosie who is twirling the snake ring on her finger. "Don't be nervous," I say looking at her.
"I have every right to be nervous," She scolds.
"No you don't, your best friends are here, your parents, your whole family," I say.
"That's why I'm nervous," she says.
"Rosie breathe, go talk to Alice or James or someone I'm going to go get you something to drink, how about pumpkin juice?" I ask and she nods. I walk over to the table with food on it and I grab a cup of pumpkin juice. Then all I see is red, not blood but Miss Perky-won't-leave-me-alone comes running over.
"Scorpius!" Her perky voice calls.
"Hello Phoebe," I say.
"Dad!" She calls and a tall Bulgarian man comes over.
"Mr.Krum I've seen you play Quidditch you are really good," I say.
"Thank you, my daughter has told me a lot about you," he says and I flinch looking over a Miss Golden Hair Perky Pants.
"Isn't he great dad? He plays Quidditch, he's the keeper and doesn't let one past him," Phoebe says gushing over me.
"Technically Rose Weasley did get one past me," I say.
"Weasley, a girl I knew married a Weasley," he says.
"What's her name?" I ask, curiously.
"Hermione Granger," he says and I almost choke.
"You know her?" He says.
"That's her mom," I mumble.
"Well Dad Scorpius and I must go dance and everything, Bye," she calls and he walks away.
"I didn't come here with you I came here with Rosie so why don't you take you bright red dress over to your dad and cry wolf. I don't like you, I never had and I never will. Not even a love potion could make me like you you want to know why I like R-" I catch myself before I embarrass myself. I start to storm off.
"Scorpius wait!" She says and I turn around.
"Be careful Rosie learned a new hex," I say and walk back to Rosie. She's standing next to Alice talking about who know what. I tap her shoulder and give her the cup.
"Hey what took you so long?" She ask.
"Who do you think?" I reply and she smirks.
"So want to meet my family now, so we can get it out of the way," she says.
"It's now or never," I say and we head in that direction. Rose's parents were sitting at a table when we approach them.
"Hello Mum and Dad this is S-Sc-" Rose says but seems to lose her words which is unlikely of her.
"Scorpius. Scorpius....Malfoy," I say and Mr.Weasley's eyes widen.
"A Malfoy? Rosie you know about the feud," Her dad says.
"Ron, let them finish," Rose's mum scolds.
"You sound like Rosie. Always knows the rules, scolds people a lot, and messes around but sticks to her studies. And I believe the feud is still going just not in the same way you think. Our studies and Quidditch are two things we are very competitive at," I explain.
"And I do cream him at Quidditch," Rosie adds trying to appeal to her dad.
"Was he the one Hugo was talking about?" Her mum asks and Rosie slightly nods.
"Does your father know?" Her dad asks and I nod.
"Thank you for saving his life," I say and he nods.
"See Ron perfectly fine," Rosie's mum says and we leave them.
"Uncles and Aunts will just hear about it tomorrow," Rosie says and I nod.
"About a couple weeks ago I say you talking to Angus Wood what about?" I ask not even thinking.
"Quidditch and he was trying to earn himself an invitation here," Rosie says and I nod.
"Now for the Champion dance," Professor McGonagall says. Music starts playing as they all enter. Rosie's uncle, Harry and her aunt, Ginny along with her aunt, Fleur and uncle, Bill along with Phoebe's mum and dad, Viktor Krum join the floor. They dance and then people join in. I look over at Rosie who is enjoying the music. Albus and Alice go and join them and then I nudge Rosie.
"Want to dance?" I ask and she smiles. I take her hand and we move onto the dance floor.

After the Champion dance they have some Wizard band play and all four of us go to a table. "This has been amazing," Rosie says and I nod. "And it's still not over," Alice puts in. "Shall we?" I say and Rosie smiles and we go and join the rest of young witches and wizards dancing. I spin her around and she beams.
"Hey Weasley can I say something?" I say.
"Sure Malfoy," she replies. I look into her bright blue eyes and go dumbfounded. What's wrong with me?
"How's the research coming?" I say and flinch knowing I said the wrong thing.
"Let's not talk about it with my parents around," she says.
"I meant to say, you look great," I say and blushes a little.
"Thanks Scorpius," Rosie says. I hold her hand and spin her around. Her face lights up and she's smiling as big as all of London.
"You do know I'm going to beat you in the Quidditch cup, right?" She says and I laugh a little.
"Sure Rosie," I say and she smiles.
I take her off the dance floor and we walk over to Teddy Lupin.
"Hey Teddy and Victorie," she says and I give a small wave. Teddy's hair is a bright blue and since he's a metamorphous it can change at any given point.
"Hello Rose," Victorie says.
"Hey Rose and Scorpius, how are you liking the jacket?" Teddy asks.
"It's great since the others don't come in until January," Rose responds.
"Wait you gave Rosie that amazing varsity jacket?" I ask and Teddy nods.
"I'm looking toward to having you in my Defense Against the Dark Arts class after break," Teddy says and we nod.
Teddy and Victorie leave to the dance floor.
"That's amazing," I say and Rosie nods.
"Rosie I've been meaning to tell you something," I start to say but was cut off by someone.
"Scorpius!" A cherry voice yells.
"Not again!" I groan and Phoebe finds her way to us.
"Just great," Rosie says.
"Weasley," Phoebe says.
"You don't have the permission to call me that. Only my family and Scorpius can call me that so shut your mouth Krum!" Rosie exclaims.
"Nobody calls me that ever," Phoebe scolds.
"Get with the last name basis," Rosie fires back.
"Rosie, let me handle this,"  I say and she steps back.
"Phoebe we went over this, I don't like you I don't like anyone," I say which is a little not true about not liking anyone.
"I see how it is Scorpius. A Slytherin and A Hufflepuff would never work but neither will a Slytherin and a Gryffindor," Phoebe says and walks away.
"What's her probelm?" Alice asks as she joins Rosie's side.
"I think we finally got ride of her," Albus says and we silently cheer. We head over to the table and Something pops into Rosie's head.
"I need to tell you guys something. I figured out the method for becoming Animagi  we can do it tonight nobody will be there," Rosie pipes up.
"And what's that?" Albus asks.
"No questions we just need keys to the Green house where Herbology takes place," Rosie says.
"I got a spare one of the only subjects I'm good at," Alice says.
"Rosie what are we actually going to do?" I ask her.
"2nd years are on Mandrakes, right?" Rosie asks Alice and she nods.
"And my dad always keeps extra Mandrake leaves in a hidden compartment in the greenhouse," Alice says.
"Wait, doesn't that are a month," I ask.
"Not the way I figure it out. I tried it on myself and just watch," Rosie says and she stand still and a ginger Brittany stands in her place.
"Woah," I say and Alice stares astonished.
"H-How?" Albus spits out and she changed back.
"My mom is the greatest witch of her age and I'm probably the greatest witch of this age. I've created a spell after a lot of experiments," Rosie says once she's changed back.
"That's amazing and impossible!" I say.
"Scorpius if you know me you would know it's no impossible," Rosie says as we cross the land to the green house.
"But how did you find out what to do?"Albus asks.
"The essay," Rosie simply replies.
"I literally learned nothing from it," Alice replies.
"That's besides the point," Rosie says.
"Rosie you are the best," I say and she smiles. Still in our Yule Ball attire we walk into the green house.
"Albus make sure no one follows us," Alice points out, "Someone is out to get us. You-know-who has a daughter."
All of our eyes widen.
"Wands out and ready," Rosie says pulling out the Mandrake leaf. She taps them with her wand and we each put one in our mouth except Rosie. Rosie takes Albus's spot at the door and we all transform.
I look down and I have white fur and a black fox and brown dove stand in Albus and Alice's place.
"Oh my gosh Scorpius you're a ferret," Rosie says bursting out laughing.
I change back to human and the others follow.
"Woah you're Animagi," a dark brown headed girl says at the door.
"Take one more step and you'll be blasted" Rosie warns pointing her wand at her.
