I feel good enough to go to school on Friday even though I don't know why you should go back on a Friday. "I am so glad I don't have to eat lunch alone with these losers" Ashley says as Matthew and Natalee walk behind us. "Hey" Matthew says and we all laugh. "Math pop quiz today" Mr. Wave says as soon as the final bell rings and the whole class groans. "Take one pass it back" he says and hands a stack of papers to the first person in each row. I am the last person in my row so I have the last piece of paper. I roll my eyes as soon as I see the things on the paper. I guess on three-fourths of the things on here. When I turn it in I know I just failed a quiz. Again. It makes no sense on Wednesday I passed that quiz with flying colors. I even got bonus points for writing down the formula. Then I remember I had tutoring on Tuesday. Maybe I need Hunter more than I thought. "Are you ok?" Ashley whispers to me as Mr. Wave starts talking about Polynomials or something. "What? Yeah" I say and she smiles at me. After class is over it feels like it takes forever until lunch. When I finally see Ashley, Mathew, and Natalee in the lunch line I smile and join them. After we all get our food we walk to our normal table that we have sat at all year, and there are people sitting there! Not just any people either. It's the football team and cheerleaders and other popular people. "Why are they sitting at our table?" Natalee whispers to us. "Because they can" Mathew says. "Let's sit with them" I say and everyone turns and looks at me. There are a few open seats at the end of the table, and I hold my head high and walk over and sit beside one of the running backs. As soon as I sit down everyone stops talking and stares at me. "Oh, don't mind me continue talking" I say with a smile and everyone stares a bit longer and then continues to talk. Only this time it's quieter and probably about me.

"I still can't believe you did that" Ashley says as we walk out to her car after school is finally over. "They're just people" I say as I open the car door and hop in. "Yeah, people that could knock you out with one quick move" she says and bugs her eyes out. "1) I could totally take a cheerleader because they wouldn't even break a nail 2) Guys can't hit girls 3) even if they did I am a ninja and I could dodge them" I say and Ashley laughs. "Ok. Whatever you say" she says and I bow. "I am going to run to my house and grab some clothes and stuff. Do you want to come with me?" Ashley asks. "No, drop me off at my house and I will take my mom's car and go rent some movies" I say as she pulls into my drive way. "I'll order Chinese if you pick it up" she adds as I grab my stuff out of the car. "Ok" I agree and she backs out of my drive way. I walk in and tell mom I am going into town. "Ok. Be extremely careful" she says and looks over the rail of the stairs. "Ok, mom" I say, I grab my wallet on the table, and jump in my mom's car. I go to the movie store first and pick out A Cinderella Story and Nancy Drew. I decide I want some coffee so on the way to get the food I stop at the coffee shop. I walk in and of course the whole football team is there. This includes Hunter Mathews. I walk up to the counter and order mine and Ashley's normal. "Ok, one medium mocha frappe and one medium caramel frappe?" the baristas confirms. "Yes ma'am" I say and move over to one of the cushy chairs and sit down. The whole football team stands up, but Hunter drags behind them he walks pass me and drops a piece of paper in my lap. I pick it up and read it "Here's my number if you ever "get sick" again." I look up when the barista calls my name. I grab my coffee and head back to my mom's car. I get the food and then head home. Ashley bets me home and is sitting on the porch. "Come and help me" I say and grab the food and movies while Ashley grabs the coffee. After I put Hunter's number in my phone I grab one of the containers of rice and put A Cinderella story in.

"I am so tired" Ashley says at eleven. "We can go to bed" I offer and she agrees. Ashley goes right to sleep, but I lay awake for another hour or so. When I finally drift off to sleep I wake up at eight in the morning. Eight in the morning! "Ashley, get up!" I say and she tolls over and says "I've been up for an hour." I roll my eyes and stand up as she laughs at me. I put on a sweat shirt and some jeans and walk outside. It's raining, but it is still so beautiful outside. "How could anyone stay inside on a day like this?" I ask Ashley. "Easy. You sit on the couch eat and watch TV" she says. "It's so beautiful out here though" I say and then she adds "And cold." "Whatever" I say and sit on edge of the porch with my feet dangling over the edge, but almost touching the ground. "I'm going inside. It's freezing out here" Ashley says and walk back into the house leaving my alone outside.
