Considering the fact that Katie was to focused on her lover I went to find Charlie to see if we could leave the party early. She was never much of a party goer so I figured she wouldn't mind. I passed the cute blonde guy and gave him a warm smile as I wondered where Charlie had gotten to. "Dan." I said as I brushed past the familiar face from school. "Do you know where Charlie's gone." He stared at me looking confused. "I guess you don't know then Liv. Charlie hooked up with Jake and fled the party." I stared at him open mouthed. How could one of my closest friends get with my ex and not even tell me and leave me to fend for myself when I needed to get home. I had been abandoned.

I stormed out of the crammed and hot house into the fresh crisp air of night. The sky was scattered with glistening stars and the soft breeze seemed to compliment the cold air. I noticed the same boy from the driveway and the hallway and decided to talk to him as he looked almost as lonely as I felt. "Hi," I said as I slipped into the free seat next to him. The chair was cold and seemed to blend in with the starry background. "My names Liv, you are?"
"Luke. My names Luke." He stared at the floor and did the same nervous yet cute thing with his feet as earlier. At that moment my phone buzzed. It was 10 minutes before I was due home and judging by the distance I had to walk it was gonna take me a while. "Anyway it was nice meeting you but now I have to attempt to walk home in heels!" Just before I was about to leave, Luke grabbed my arm and lead me to the Houses entrance he signalled to the passenger seat of what I assumed to be his car. "Are you sure?" I asked
"It's no trouble." He replied and looked up at me with a very attractive half smile on his face. I had a feeling this school year was going to be good!
