A/N URGENT I know an authors note is a terrible way to start a chapter in a new book, but I kind of have to. This book will start out in the perspective of a girl named Elina and by Chapter Two it will be Lillie's perspective again. Hope you enjoy!
I walk in the front door. Did my boyfriend really just say we need a break after he has been gone for six months for his job. Gosh what a brat.
"Elina you're home," my roommate says stumbling into the kitchen holding a beer bottle.
She's drunk.
"Louise are you seriously drunk again?" I asked her annoyed.
She showed up at my door a week ago crying and I told her she could crash at my house well she figures things out.
"Wha no," she says in a high pitch voice.
"Louise I said figure things out not drink your problems away!" I state annoyed.
"I'msonotdrinkingawaymyproblems,"she slurred her words.
"And by 'I'm so not drinking away my problems' you mean you totally are," I tell.
She waves her hand at me meaning whatever and stumbles to her bedroom.
"Louise go to bed and stop drinking!" I yell after her.
"I do what I want!" She managed back.
I decided I was going to go out and get coffee so that I can stay awake to focus on studying for finals. I went outside and started walking to the nearby Starbucks in our college.
I reached the door and a man opened it for me.
"Hello," he says smiling.
I wave and smile at him.
"Does your name happen to be Elina?" He asks me.
"Yeah," I say nervously,"How'd you know that?"
"Well Elina I was sent here from my job to talk to you," he paused,"do you know a girl named Louise at all? Or Lillie by any chance?"
I was startled and then reply,"No why?"
It was my business about Louise not this random stranger.
"Oh well I'm sorry I must have the wrong person," he sighed.
Should I tell him? I again decided against it.
"Sorry I couldn't help you sir," I say.
"Oh no ma'am you can still help me," he smiles.
I stare at him,"and how can I help you?"
"Do you believe in mythical creatures such as vampires, werewolves, and witches?" He asks.
"No those are just for fantasy writers to use in their novels," I replied, I wish they were real.
"Well I myself have a completely different opinion," he states,"these mythical creatures are in fact very real!"
"What makes you so positive?" I ask as I go up to the cashier and order my mocha.
He whispers,"Maybe because I am one."
