Prophecy of the White Tiger

Explanation

I walked through the house with Peter in tow. Calling out I let my father know that I was home and would meet him in the living room. My dad was already in the kitchen so i walked over, gave him  a hug, then introduced him to Peter. I sat down next to Peter on the couch across from my dad. "Katana, Peter can I see both of your left wrists?" My dad asked.

We both showed him our wrist mine had the amulet outline on it, whereas his did not. Suddenly my dad pulled out an amulet similar to mine, but this one was more in the shape of a panther and was black. He waved it over Peters wrist and suddenly a matching outline appeared on his wrist. Peter looked at my dad confused.

Then my dad began to explain. "My story is a longish one but please bear with me to the end. Long ago there were six legendary warriors that tamed the spirits of wild cats that roamed the land. They fused these spirits into six amulets. that when brought together had the power to defer any evil or in the wrong hands the could grant the destruction of the world. To keep this power the six warriors and their family spread out all over the globe. They did this all because they knew that one day a great prophecy would need to be fulfilled. Six would join as one, each destined to be mated to another, then to save the world. This prophecy as well as the amulets of the six warriors have been passed down through the generations of their family's.  They all knew that the light of the White Tiger would bring them together. Katana, When you were born your mother and I Knew that you were born to be that tiger. This is why your mother left and I tried to keep you from your powers."

I was shocked but at the same time perfectly okay. "Wait a second mom is alive!" I shouted looking at my dad like he was crazy. I understood why they did what they did,  it was all to protect me. I then asked my dad, "What do the marks on our wrist have to do with all of this?"

He replied, "They are what allow you specifically to find other decedents of the warriors, but it also allows for you to tell who your mate is. When you come near one of the other warriors the emblem will appears on theirs allowing for you to determine who the warriors are. It also allows you to know who you are destined to be with, your mate, both of your emblems will meld your warriors colors.

"Okay dad, but why didn't Peter's shows up immediately like mine."

"I believe it is because Peter also posses other powers, but either way you too would have been drawn together seeing as how you are mates." I looked over at Peter, he seemed to be taking the news as well as i was, in all honestly I was happy to be his mate.

My dad handed Peter his amulet explaining how he was the black panther and telling him to take care if it. Peter took it and looked back at my dad. "How did you know I had other powers, I never mentioned them?"

My dad smiled, "Lets  just say that I have some secrets of my own." Looking to Peter I asked him how he was doing. 

He smiled his cute goofy smile and said. "I'll be fine, this is amazing news I get to spend my life with an amazing person, but you are going to have to show me how to use the amulet." I smiled and nodded. All of a sudden there was a crash at the front door. Two men entered, running into the living room. When they fully came into view I realized that it was the thugs from the day before.
