It's been two days since I left the hospital. My brothers thought it would be best for me to stay home and rest. Yesterday was the last day of school, so today, my summer officially begins. I woke up around noon to find breakfast already on the table and my brothers in the living room watching cartoons.
"Morning" I said.
"Morning? It's noon already" Tony responded.
"Well then, good afternoon" I said. Tony chuckled and stood up, following me into the dining room.
"How are ya feeling, kid?" I shrugged.
"Alright' I replied. "Why'd you ask?" That's when he hugged me tightly.
"I was worried about you" he said. I hugged him right back, for the very first time in two years. He pulled back and looked at me. "How bout we go out and play football?" I smiled widely.
"A little competition?" He nodded. "Loser has to clean the dishes!" We both laughed and walked out into the living room, where Austin was laying on the couch. "C'mon, Austin! We're gonna play football!"
He sat up and looked at me carefully.
"You like football?" I nodded. "Since when?"
"Since forever" I replied. He smiled and stood up, getting the football on the floor, then we all raced out the door. Both Austin and Tony were faster than me, so they made it to the park first. It was a good thing, though, cause I don't really know my way around. Once I reached my brothers, they were playing rock, paper, scissors. "Boys vs Girls!"
"No way! You'll get crushed!" I put my hands on my hips.
"I can take both of y'all down" I said. They laughed, not believing me at all. I sighed.
"I'll get the gang to play with us" Tony called, already running off to god knows where. So now, it was just me and Austin. He was tossing the football and up and catching it, over and over again. Until, I snatched it away from him.
"Hey!" I chuckled.
"Want it?" I asked, wiggling it in front of him. "Then come and get it!" With that said, I ran as he chased me. But like I said before, he's faster than me. Austin was able to get the ball away from me. "No fair, you're faster" I whined.
"I know I am" he replied, holding the football over me, out of my reach. I jumped for it but he wouldn't give me the damn ball. He laughed as he turne4d his back to me. "You're too short" he teased.
That's when I jumped on his back and wrapped my legs around his waist, and tried getting the ball. My actions surprised him and he tried getting me off.
"Give me the ball" I said, reaching for it with one arm, while the other was around his neck, just so I won't fall. He laughed and wouldn't give it to me. We kept at it like this, until I noticed Tony standing not so far from us, staring at us as if we were crazy. Behind him were 7 guys and 1 girl.
"I would ask what's up, but I'm afraid of the answer" Tony joked. I got off of my brother and stood there, feeling as though it was getting awkard, because there were 8 people who I didn't even know yet. Except one. The guy that saved me, the handsome one. What's he doing here?
"Uh... hi?"Austin swung an arm around my shoulder and pulled me close.
"Hey guys, I would like y'all to meet Angelica Jones" he proudly introduced. The girl stepped foward. She had long, curly brownish/ reddish haid, hazel eyes, and long eyelashes. Her lips looked natuarly red. She had an hourglass figure with small feet, a big butt, and a big chest, not that I was looking at it.
"Angelica Jones? The Soc?" I nodded nervously. She looked mean, and I didn't want to start anything. "This is our turf, what're you doing here?" I bit my lip, not knowing what to say.
