****Short chapter. Kind of slow. Just like the first one, it gets better as you read on. So... READ ON!******

The sun was on the verge of rising. Everyone was tired. Kids were whining to their parents about how their feet hurt. Some were crying. I stayed quiet, still holding Rick's hand. My eyes kept trailing to our intertwined hands.... I was confused if I should have let go of it or not. Rick kept walking forward, leading us.

He all of a sudden came to a halt. "Hey everybody." Rick said with a hoarse voice. I used this as an excuse to let go. "Let's make camp here." He announced. Everyone took a sigh of relief.

You would think they would question what the plan was. But, we were so exhausted that we all sat down for rest. "Daryl, come with me to get some fire wood." Rick said. Before Rick walked off, he stopped in front of me. "I'll be right back, Nia." He said softly and kissed my forehead. I was surprised at myself for becoming so tense from his touch.

Maggie took notice. "What's wrong? Aren't you happy that he's
at least here with you?" She asked. I stared into the direction he went. "Yes.... It's just... I've done some thinking. He left me. He left because he thought he belonged out there. Don't you think that's extremely selfish?" I explained.

Maggie stayed quiet. I could tell she agreed though. She patted my shoulder and then unhooked Judith from the baby-carrier she had on. I gently cradled her as I sat down. Judith looked worn out. Her eyes, still gazing up at me, slowly closed. After a few minutes, Rick and Daryl were back. Rick made the fire and sat with me and Judy.

"I'm sorry." He said to me, sounding very sincere. I stayed quiet. What was I gonna do? Lie and say it's okay? So, I gave a small smile and laid my jacket on the ground for Judith to sleep on. "Good night." I whispered and laid beside Judith.

Daryl and Rick were on guard for the rest of the night just in case any walkers came along. I felt like there was no hope. Almost like I was before Rick found me. There wasn't an official plan on what to do next. No places to go. Nothing to eat. It was going to be nearly impossible to lug around this many people.

For now, all I could do was sleep.

I woke up with Rick's jacket over me. He was holding Judith and talking to Daryl, Glenn, Michonne, and Deanna over a map.

All was weirdly peaceful. The sun was up but the morning dew was on the grass still. Birds were chirping. Some kids were playing tag. I got up and stood by Rick to listen in on what they were discussing. "Maybe we could head North? I don't know. At this point it seems like there aren't many options." Glenn chimed in.

"No. I say we head South. Stick with the country-side. We can't go to places that we know were previously over-populated." Rick said huskily. Deanna backed up from the discussion and began walking in circles. I knew how she felt. It was over-whelming.

"Rick. Not to bother but, people are getting hungry here." I said.

"Damn it! Can't you people fend for your own selves?!" Deanna suddenly yelled really loud. "Hey keep it down! You'll attract walkers! You should know that by now!" Rick spat. Yeah.... Everything seemed pretty darn hopeless.
