Z-day -1 Rockaway beach, New York scholars' academy high school orientation
Mickey Royce rummaged through his book bag to find his student ID card to enter the building. The sign out person and School Safety looked at him, losing their patience. His best friend Theo laughed. "Ahhaa!" he said finding the ID. He swiped it on the machine and followed Theo.
"What room?" Theo asked.
"Ahh 328" he said.
"We got Mr. Joseph as our homeroom teacher, wonder what he's like?" Theo said, but Mickey's eyes were elsewhere. A girl that he had liked for about 6 years now, Amy Harper, was walking down together side of the hallway towards them. As she walked by he gave kind of a half-smile and a two-fingered salute he did. Theo smiled
"Ahhh, why don't you get with that already?" he asked nudging Mickey with his shoulder. Mickey avoided the question walked ahead of Theo and up into the class room. After a few minutes a man walked into the room.
"Hello, my name is Mr. Ryan Joseph, and I'll be your history teacher for your freshman year. I am very passionate about history, and I love to teach it. As some of you may already know I spent 7 years in the US marine core. There I learned discipline and honor. I will not take stupid comments and if you do not care to listen or try in my class I can make this a horrible year for you" He looked at mickey and winked. After the other teachers came in, Theo and Mickey left to go catch a bus.
"This Mr. Joseph sounds pretty nuts" Theo said.
"Ehh I liked him" Mickey said, Theo shook his head. They caught the bus and talked more about Mr. Joseph and Amy on the way home. Mickey got off the bus and walked down the block toward his house. As he did, he saw a formation of military helicopters. He wondered what so many were doing at once. After a bit he forgot about it, somewhere in between Doritos and Xbox.
Z-day Rockaway beach, New York
The next morning he got up and got ready for school, just like any normal morning. He got dressed, grabbed his favorite baseball cap and unwillingly trudged out to the bus stop to meet Theo. He got to the stop and Theo was already there.
"What's up?" Mickey asked. Theo's eyes were locked on a copy of the New York Times "Since when did you read the paper?" Mickey said.
"I don't but check it out" Said Theo handing him the paper. The Headline read:
Adapted Rabies Virus takes 10th death in Shanghai
"They're calling it the zombie virus" Theo said to him.
"What do you mean?" Mickey asked. "They supposedly died from the virus and then..."
"What!" Mickey insisted.
"They just woke up again"

Chen- Sing WA Swallowed down the pills to help the headache he had. He pressed his hand against his head. He coughed hard. His vision blurred and he felt lightheaded.
"Everything ok, Sir?" the stewardess asked. No answer.
"Sir is everything ok?" she asked again. Again, no answer. Chen's eyes started closing, closing and closing.
1 hour later
Chen's eyes started opening, a moan came out.
"Sir, are you ok? Can you hear me?" the stewardess said again, unbuckling his seat belt. Chen moaned, and moaned again.
